Very true, the season is by no means over it was an ugly game that many teams have now and then. Again I am not on the fire hak train but he needs to pick his locker room up and get them ready for next weekend. I actually though that UNO was pretty good from an offensive perspective. The guy brought back und to greatness, turned the force into a decent franchise (yes I know they are bad this year 82), and is turning a Nebraska hockey program into a decent one. He has some awesome recruits coming in next year, are you even aware of this? That program was a laugher until he got there.

UNO was running the same type of PP....however they had a man on the far wall . Their forwards also didn't look so robotic when dumping it in... they actually are looking to see if they have a clear dumping lane whereas UND dumps it regardless.

Hak went to the frozen four those first 4 years I believe. Also if you don't think blais and his success as a coach had anything to do with those recruits you are nuts..... the guy is a primary reason we have the building we do... with a little help from Ralph.

I agree that he needs skaters however I don't know where they are. I am a big Luke fan but he looks pretty lost out there recently.

Most of haks success came with blais recruits, that is a fact. Not all but most (those 4-5 years after blais left). I believe the top hak recruit playing in the NHL is frattin.

Like I said I could be wrong I just know blais recruits rolled for about 4-5 years after he left. zajac, toes, all those guys.

Yeah crazy; I think that's why this loss stung so bad. not only giving up the lead but giving up 5 straight. not sure what was going on in that bench.

He's the best forward on this team.

I honestly don't think its hak's system as many colleges and NHL teams play it. We simply are lacking offensive forwards other than Rocco. We don't have a first line and many of our forwards could barely cut it a few years back.

I think miss Sioux is correct... we are starting to see the effect of losing so many of our forward recruits. The goals we do score are hardly pretty and when we make a good play the boys typically screw it up. When I just mentioned has been an ongoing issue the whole year, last nights game was a result of multiple defensive (both forwards and defensemen) breakdowns and a low compete level. However that UNO team did have much better forwards than we do. Another thing to consider is that blais is such a great coach, you are starting to see him build a decent program down there. He also has the two leaders in USHL scoring coming in next year. UNO could be pretty good next year if they can find a goalie. another tidbit, I believe Kristo was the last blais recruit (could be wrong here) meaning hak was riding blais recruits for a while.
