University of North Dakota Hockey 2014-15 season

No one. I was simply trying to note that some players will play through injury to play for their countries. That is what you were trying to convey with your initial post correct? -

A lot of players like representing their country. -
Who pulls in the recruits now? A&M has got a bunch of blue chippers lately. Probably more than Okl, Texas and Nebraska combined. Actually, they get more than all texas schools. Baylor has a great coach and old QB. Without the QB they are not as good as A&M right now. A&M has two very young QBs. And a bad defense

I sure hope he is back well before the WJC. -
I honestly cannot wait for FSU to play someone good. This year's team is definitely not as good as last year's team. I agree that ND is always overrated however they should have beaten FSU, they passed the eye test to me as being better than FSU (only). Honestly, I hope either Bama or Miss State gets them in the playoff (obviously if the top four stays the same, which I believe it will barring a Bama melt down to Auburn, which could very well happen). Also, I do not think it would be unreasonable to think FLA could upset FSU. FSU plays everybody close and FLA's defense is very good when it wants to be. As a die hard Bama fan, I am kind of worried about playing Miss State again or Oregon. Miss State looked like they only needed about another quarter to pull off the comeback. They are a very very good team, their defense was huge. Oregon is scary for obvious reasons.

Omg. Ok I'll admit we don't see things eye to eye . But I will conclude that Barret is just not that good. OSU's schedule is soft and they play soft defenses (I did watch the MN vs OSU game last week). Barret does it with his legs....like all OSU QB's.
-
I guess. I also saw the outcome and the way LSU did it. Very "video game-esque". Like it was supposed to happen.
-
I watched the entire game. I saw who the better team was.
-
I do agree with you there.
-
alabama destroys OSU (OSU's QB is terrible and nobody other than Auburn can run on Bama). Miss State handles MSU. Olse Miss takes down Wisc quite easily (Ole MIss defense is old and solid, Wisc couldn't run on them and I've witnessed Wisc's passing game). UGA beats Nebraska (UGA can play down to their opponents but they'll still win). Mizzu crushes the rodents, Auburn hangs 50 on the hawkeyes and A&M drops 50 on Maryland. I think we are missing some solid teams here? Kentucky and Arkansas beat all the Big10 teams except OSU, Wisc and maybe Nebraska (but it would be close). Same with SC. Kentucky can hang with the big boys as far as their O goes. Additionally you forgot LSU who would probably beat the entire big ten except maybe OSU (they already beat Wisc and played terribly doing it).

Right because they have the recent hardware to back up the attention.

It's funny to read all the SEC hater comments.

Yup, the east still has tough schedules compared to other conferences. They just aren't as strong as the west obviously. That Indiana absolutely killed Missouri's ranking. I'm just saying, any team in the country that is about to play a UGA team, more likely than not, must play really well to beat them.
-
Think about it the other way around, what if Missouri simply had their terrible game of the year vs Indiana (which is obviously what happened). Similar to und losing to bemidji. Who has wisconsin beat. Nebraska. Who has Nebraska beaten? Their schedule is terrible. I compare the sec to the nchc because every conference game is a slugfest, especially in the west. Every one of those west games are filled with top three round draft picks. Their schedule is such a grind.
-
I was talking about LSU vs wis and LSU vs fla. they both lost pretty close games, although the LSU vs fla game was a much closer game watching it. the LSU vs wis game was odd, but I figured LSU would win that game. It was actually a lot closer than I thought.
-
Back that up doing some analysis. They have a common opponent. 20? And the fact you said "2014 only" leads me to believe you know how good a gators team is.
-
Bama new #1. Makes sense
-
Well that's obvious, you play roughly the same percentage of non conference to conference games. I would agree looking just at win/loss records that they would be similar.
-
Rocco called back up.
-
Jordan just has to be gone. It wouldn't surprise me if Ladue takes off as well. Anyone think Caggs could bolt too if he continues his big year?
-
Hopefully well. He doesn't play for a high scoring team in the USHL (Fargo), however his numbers are a lot lower than I thought they would be given his age. It is his first full year in the USHL however. Hopefully it's the Brodsinski effect.
-
Agreed, they should get better as the year goes on. They are also missing Santini who I believe is a 1st rounder. Also, I think this just shoes how tough college hockey is for younger teams. Look at Hanafin, everyone though he was going to go gangbusters like Eichel. Although he was been pretty solid I guess, he has not been one of the best defensemen in the country, yet.
-
Alabama has 15. Second most ever? For hockey only. I'm definitely bowing out of this argument now. Let's proceed with non-UND hockey.
-
Very true.

I think so. Definitely MN hands down. LSU beat WIS after playing the worst first quarter I had seen in some time. All with freshman littered throughout their lineup. They came back on WIS like it was a video game. There isn't a huge difference between FLA and LSU. Also, FLA's freshman qb has looked ok in some games. Interested to see them against FSU if they can keep it close early.
