I don't think of it as a loss because I think this kid was going minny the entire time (given that he had an offer). From a recruit standpoint he's top notch however I get nervous taking these kids so young and given he's produced those awesome stats in a terrible mn conference. I always like to see what our commits do in one of the top junior leagues. Too many times kids dominate in high school only to flop in the ushl. I agree with the other poster that the mismash and boeser commits soften the loss of this kid.

Yeah, you'll have to see who they lose. If they only lose their seniors they should still be good. They have some really nice kids already coming in (leading pt getter at Omaha and another guy that is like 2nd or 3rd in points in the USHL).

If Eichel stays (which is <5% I'm guessing), Matthews goes to BU without doubt.

Wow, no way I could have said it better. The difference between good college coaches and great colleges coaches are national champsionships. I really don't think anyone can argue that. That's all I have been trying to say for several years and I sometimes get lumped in that "Fire Hak" bucket. I don't want the guy fired nor do I expect them to fire him.

He can kill a penalty. I would take the Kenny Morrison approach if I were him. If he stays he'll get more opportunity to be out in different situations (in a slower paced game). The A is no joke, you have to be really good to stick.

Agreed, I'm actually shocked stetch is on the list of potential departures. I get that he's an UDFA but the kid had 13 or 14 pts. He needs one more year before he goes to the A. I would think he is 99% coming back.

One would have to assume they would get offers, they were UDFAs. Hopefully they know what's best for them and stay. Caggs needs a dominate year offensively before he leaves...he needs a season where he averages a point per game. As far as stetcher, I would guess the AHL would be easier for him than Caggs (given his super motor and complete level), however Stetch has never really played a lot of PP in the past two years. I would think he would come back next year to round out better as an all around dman.
