The bigger issue is puck possession in the ozone…and overall hockey IQ. But absolutely…having younger dmen doesn’t help the whole equation.

The answer is…it depends. WHL has a 20 year old cap, where the ushl doesn’t I don’t believe. The WHL has higher end prospects obviously (excluding ntdp) but their depth isn’t always as good. Players are generally a click younger. They focus more on development as they get kickbacks from the nhl for the players they develop…ushl is more about winning. They have no agreement with the NHL

At this point, everything should be built around him…as far as a pp goes. The top PP has to be Perron, Berg, James (net front), Boisvert and Livinavage. This issue is that Boisvert and Berg basically play the same spot. Boisvert’s shot is a lot better though…he’s earned the right to get those top looks. I feel like omac should be out there too…solid passer…maybe on the half wall. But at the end of the day, our more skilled/offensive players need to be on the ice. Schmaltz, Kunz, etc…shouldn’t be on either PP. Neither are anything close to being offensive. They’ve had a significantly long runway however neither have the IQ to be on a PP at this level.

Huh? I thought they would be a contender. They’ve seriously underperformed this year…even with the injuries.

What is his background? I haven’t been impressed. Self admittedly, I’ve stopped following non hockey UND sports for the most part. But I’m hearing many of the programs are falling off quickly.

We don’t maintain possession of the puck…we’re playing mid 2000s hockey. The game has completely passed these guys by.

We have better players than they do…it’s the system we run. We’d rather dump it in than go in on a 3v2. This is so tough to watch

We need to play our best players a lot. How 8, 15 and 29 are out there for every pp but barely have any consistent offensive production is beyond me. I know 15 has kind of been heating up a little…but his leash is so long. 9 is a first rounder that has to play in those end of game moments, he’s also been solid this year.

How is our leading scorer on the bench at the end of the game? Also not on the PP at the end of the game. First time all season I’ll say it…coaching may be an issue. I’d be shocked if Boisvert is back. There seems to be heavy heavy favoritism.

I’m late and on record…so this is late…but is 13 one of the dumber players in the league or what?

Sounds like Cayden Lindstrom (Columbus 1st rounder) will play a gap year in NCAA prior to turning pro. We better be in on him. We need centers bad. Looks like he had a fairly significant injury.
