This is the thinnest I have seen Miami's team in some time. They don't have a lot of depth whatsoever. Several high enders obviously; that's most likely why they have had trouble scoring goals this year.
-
They're dominating tonight too. That's how hockey goes I guess.
-
wow these guys need to bury one.
-
"New Americans" what do they bring to the table in the region

I can't believe this is actually a thread. -
Bingo, that's all I was trying to say earlier.

What's up with Joel J? Got his first college pt last night and played well I thought. Didn't he have a concussion earlier? I wonder if something is lingering
-
It looked close on the replay I saw. I watched it like 10 times this morning because some people on Twitter were calling it offsides. Also, I am agreeing with you it wasn't offsides.

I thought the boys looked good last night. Tons of puck movement and both the forwards and D were really aggressive when Miami had the puck, it gave them no space to make anything happen. I noted this last night but our D core is so good, it really masks the inexperience of some of our younger forwards. The first pass out of the zone has been incredible. Hopefully Ladue isn't too dinged up. One player I have been really impressed with is Rhett G., he is a really good 4th liner. I was one who initially thought he could use another year playing in the USHL but I was wrong, he definitely has played a pretty important role so far. My one knock so far is our PK %, boy is it sketchy. I can't remember if they were weaker goals but the boys need to shore that up. Miami only had 2-3 decent scoring chances last night (Kuraly break away/Melnick up close) and they ended up with 2 goals. I'm guessing it will be a close game tonight.
-
It was pretty close. But the right call was made.
-
wow
-
our D core is ridiculous
-
boys should be jacked playing a ranked team (finally). If we get average goaltending I'm going with a Sioux sweep.
-
I think we stack up favorably this weekend. Miami lost a ton of fire power so the only thing they can do is play solid D. We should be able to wear them down over 3 periods. Hopefully our goalie plays well and theirs doesn't

While that point is valid to me (I too think it's too bad that RR is a final option as Red River has that name), there is a pretty large resentment towards anything Hawks. So much so that many people I know are going from Nodaks to RR. Probably not enough though, too many students.
-
You know, there are a lot of GF folks that are now voting RR. Pretty much everyone I have spoken too excluding current students (which truly doesn't reflect the folks that have always lived there). That last comment appears rather unintelligent.
-
Both are so bad and/or uninspiring. I guess RR may have my vote. Better be a damn good logo.
-
I agree. He seems to get shaky early in games. That's not what you want against a high end team. He did settle down well but when he's off he's really off.

I get it. There simply seemed to be an implication that while his 6 SHO's were impressive we should remember the opponents records. And I was just noting that the same can be said with our tendy, except the fact that our's isn't highly heralded. My point being that I believe Tomek and/or Johnson (more so Tomek obviously) should get a game in when healthy. Regardless of Hrynkew's (sp?) current numbers, these other two boy's earned the chance to play some games. Obviously Hrynkew doesn't simply vanish into thin air given his numbers, but we should see Tomek/Johnson get games in when healthy to see what they have. As those boys were supposed to help in the long term. Now if Tomek and/or Johnson falter obviously that has to be taken into consideration as well.
-
Still phenomenal. That same argument can be said for our goaltender (as far as his numbers being so good). Except that Demko is a nice NHL prospect.

http://theahl.com/ahlotb-tambellini-p200217 Kid makes it sound like college hockey was a tad too easy for him. Sioux fans know the truth (4 pts, 16 games).
-
Yup, pretty nuts. He's been playing light's out so far.
-
terrible outcome, I don't think ill vote
-
why? He's great for college hockey.
-
what? I may not be understanding you correctly (or missing sarcasm) but why would a #3 still be alive?
