    Over/under on number of days between new nickname selection and Kelley resignation.  I'll say 90 days.   

    I'll say over. It's a great prop bet. 

     

    Here's my reasoning. I bet they want to do this as soon as possible. I know there are rumors suggesting that at least. So, I'm assuming there is a new name in January. Sometime this year, Bob decides it's been a career and will have a last hoorah officiating the spring graduation before retiring into the sunset. Spring graduation is more than 90 days after January 31st.

     

    So over. To fulfill my degenerate gambling obsession, over.

    The nickname committee has been selected. 17 people, four of them alumni. I'm not sure what the demographics of the other 13 people are but I'm hoping the majority are students. Their job is to submit nickname candidates to the president who will have the final decision. Should be an official announcement next week. 

    Weird. They must have just assumed I'd accept the invitation.

    Grand Forks Economy

    It's the type of jobs in Grand Forks that would need to be addressed really. I loved my time in Grand Forks, but I wasn't afforded the opportunity to stay. For me personally, that may have been a good thing, long run. Money isn't everything, but everything I was offered in Grand Forks/25 mile area wasn't the salary/wage I spent 4 years getting a degree for. I moved to Williston, and got more than I was probably worth at that current market value for me, but offers in other comparable communities were consistently ~10% better. 

     

    Things that like that NG-to Nitrogen plant are really what GF needs for The Sicatoka's idea.

    Just think...We could build a new on-campus football stadium and call it "The Den"....

    Exactly, Wolves has by far the best branding potential, and it's BA. Numerous google searches support that statement.

    Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD is the Wolves. And a few DII teams are the Wolves but there are NO DI teams nicknamed Wolves.

    I was only concerned about D1/Professional teams. The Wolf doesn't concern itself with the thoughts of sheep.

    I'm going to write a book here.

     

    I've been thinking, the new name HAS to be wolves. What's the reason behind needing a new name? Branding. Merchandise. Selling stuff. Nothing brands better than wolves. 

     

    It sets the right mentality for sports too.  Aggressive, Cunning, Working Together. Kills our rivals. 

     

     

    - Join the Pack. Get your season ticket package now. 

    - Let me you howl

    - The Hunt is on. 

    - Pack Mentality

     

    No one is just Wolves. There is timberwolves, seawolves, wolfpack. Just Wolves. Think of the cool logo. The silhouette of this guys face with green eyes.

    Best traveling fanbase in hockey? The pack is on the move.

     

    It's pretty safe for controversy sake, but it the ways that it is controversial plays in our favor. Who hates wolves? People from our conference states, people from Wisconsin and Minnesota. 

     

    All in on wolves.

    Robert Morris game thread

    Guys, we should be excited. A game under a new regime that we can really see the progress of the team.

     

    What I like the most is the mindset these coaches have instilled in these men. As some of you may know, my son plays for UND, and I talk to him every single day.

     

    Coaches in FCS have to work harder as do the players. In the BIG 10, for example, they don't like you or they think your not good enough, there is always someone in line just as good. These coaches actually teach. Unlike in the FBS5, they don't teach as much because you have 5 star recruits that are just animals from day 1; I.E., Jadaveon Clowney, Manziel, Hageman, etc. The top tier teams don't recruit, they reload. Also the boosters are out of control.

     

    With that said, this coaching staff seems genuine. The are somewhat humbled because of what they got into, but, at the same time, they are excited because they feel they can make a change. The team is receptive and they work hard. I see ba!!$ on this team. Watching on tv, they did not back down. San Jose beat us because they're talent was more experienced. I say, if would've played SJSU on game 7 it's not 42-10. I'm not saying we win, but it's not a blowout. A few tackles instead of missed tackles, We could've had 2 INT's. I mean, it was just jitters and a few feet away from making major plays.

     

    I'm looking fwd to this season. We are not going 8-3, but I feel we are not going 3-8 either.

     

    Guys, my opinion. Glad to be a part of the SIOUX NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Why No UND License Plates?

    So I was at the DMV getting my tags renewed.

    They have a poster of "special interest plates" for a large variety of topics including the universities of Valley City, NSSU, Minot, and Dickinson. But no UND? What Gives?

    I believe that's on the Alumni Association
