  1. i just graduated and i can tell you that i had more than my fair share of adult beverages.. just to calm everyone down, never once have i have seen anyone bonging alcohol through the wrong hole, taking eyeball shots, and I can't say for sure but i never saw tampons being passed around. So I don't think that kind of stuff really went down there...

  2. if people really need to compare the two schools on this, look no further back than the past few years. Ryan Chappell was the best offense player UND had at the time (or most talented), and he was especially needed when he got dismissed (suspended by NCAA rules, but not allowed back). Bobby Stroup, much more serious, was dealt with appropriately. When the freshman linebacker beat up a kid in the dorms in 08 (I believe), he was sent out of town. Ismael Bamba was not allowed to stay on the team with his personal shortcomings. Josh Murray was also dismissed by Mussman.

I have been critical of Mussman in the past, but in terms of dealing with trouble, Mussman has acted with the utmost appropriate actions. The names listed here are also evidence to not having favor towards star players. I'm not saying Craig Bohl is doing this, but it seems that NDSU people on here are saying UND would show that bias, so I'm just answering questions.

  3. I don't think they had any idea what would happen if they did what they did. They thought it was a way to make a quick buck and went for it. I agree with Taylor on this. As if most UND hockey players would know not to fake signatures. Besides Hak would still play them and don't for a minute think he wouldn't.

I don't see a lot of UND hockey players signing up to circulate petitions and last winter would have been an opportune time to do so. You can't disregard their legal responsibility and the grave issue of the matter. These aren't six year olds making million dollar agreements, these are people the same age as I making decisions. To say "As if most hockey players would know not to fake signatures" is outrageous too. Who in their right mind who knows what a petition is would think that's OK to write fraudulent names on a legal document??? And if you are right and that is so tough to understand, then maybe they shouldn't have signed up to be legally responsible to look out for that stuff.

  4. The best play of the night was when miller caught a short pass by the Big Sky logo and cut upfield to the Alerus logo and changed direction and crossed over to the other Alerus logo and broke a tackle and made it all the way to the Altru logo before being tackled.

    thoroughly enjoyable description
  5. this attitude scares me... greater enrollment doesn't equate to greater university. I don't think that higher enrollment should be a goal, rather a byproduct of an increasingly better educational service. I worry enrollment numbers are too big of focus.

  6. I really think this is a good idea, at least a place to start off from. Admission standards should be higher, and i think that the percentage of people who don't finish school, but start, is evident of that (I realize there are lots of other factors involved). He seems to understand we need to remove some unnecessary components of higher ed and the remedial class aspect shows that. Understand this probably a bargaining chip and will be watered down a bit.

  7. If we had kept the name and logo at all costs, that is the team we would have probably played in the Potato Bowl every year. :p That might have raised their profile above the ocean's surface. I don't know if much else could.

Mayville would have to schedule it around the Farmer's Bowl

  8. this is why we should go on without a name. this isn't an issue then. forever honor the name by leaving its absence. everyone whose a fan pretty much has thirty years worth of Sioux gear to wear anyways. let's go without a name officially and remain the Sioux in fan practice
