  1. one man's worst place on earth is another man's paradise.
  2. Does anyone know why Seth's brother left DU? I have followed many a Sioux season but in the last 5yrs I don't ever remember hearing of a Jones at DU. That certainly doesn't mean he didn't I just don't recall a Jones playing for DU. So my other question is was/is his older brother any good?
  3. I think Jim is a fantastic player. He may not be the most skilled guy but you can tell he is all heart. I think a lot of people may underestimate Jim and that will only work to his advantage. Believe it or not but it is guys like Jim who really bring the team together and cohesive. I will be so happy for him when he gets his first goal. I remember back at the Final Five this year right as the announcers were announcing Parks had scored to make it 2-3 against the gophers Jim comes along the sidewall and passes it over to Brock to tie it up at 3 and the route was on.
  4. Back on topic. So is it a done deal that Seth will be going to Portland? I haven't heard much outside of Everett giving rights for Portland to talk to Seth. My thought is he is going to Portland but I have not seen where he has offically stated that.
  5. That's what I was afraid of. You see the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I sure hope both players can find their way because they both are excellent players.
  6. Does anyone know if JGregs is hurt again for St. Johns? I see they are still in the playoffs but he doesn't seem to be playing much. Kind of disappointing to hear as when he was a Sioux he tore it up and was usually one of the best players on the ice for either team.
  7. I agree 100% with that statement. It would be nice to land Seth but I am much more happy to have Kristo returning.
  8. I think perhaps some people might be underestimating Mr. Caggiula. He is a darn good player and he steps it up come playoff time. The coaches are real high on him as well. He is going to be a gem for us. If you have ever watched him play he has some TJ Oshie qualities and real nice hands with a good shot. Oh and he is not afraid to get physical either.
  9. I was pretty excited when Chay decided to use his medical redshirt and come back for a 5th year. I believe Brad S. and UNDSID fielded so many questions on was Chay staying or leaving that they had Chay give a press conference regarding his decision. With that said I am real happy Kristo is coming back. That is really awesome and it sets a real good example to others on the team.
  10. Oh Seth even though it looks like your headed to Portland please still consider UND.
  11. Nelson is a good kid and he did what he thought was best for him. Whether or not his family put pressure on him to sign we will probably never know and that is just fine. I however do find it interesting that no where in that interview with Hak regarding Nelson's departure did he once say Brock was ready to go to the next level. I know Hak would have flat out said if he believed Nelson was ready to jump to the next level and he did not. Brock will be a fantastic pro and any team he plays on will benefit from his skill. I think everyone just wishes he would have stayed one more year. Again can't fault the kid.
  12. Kristo just confirmed he is staying for his senior season. Oh god bless him.
  13. I wish he would come to UND to but I can see how he might feel Portland is his best option. Also for a kid who really for all intent purposes probably won't need an education it really doesn't make sense to just come to college for one year. Don't get me wrong some do it and he may choose that option but it just seems not likely. Why add the extra pressure of school.
  14. To bad but not that unexpected. If it is true good luck Seth. Bring on the next recruit.
  15. Well if that is the case let me be the first to wish Seth all the best and thank him for considering coming to UND. Even if he doesn't come just the idea that he narrowed his only college choice down to UND speaks volumes.
  16. It is totally reverse psychology. I would say our chances of landing him are better than 1%. If that was the case he would have never come on an official visit. We have just as good a chance as Everett and it really probably comes down to a few reasons why one way or the other.
  17. Well the U-18 team won gold and now it truly is decision time for Seth. I suppose in the next week or two we will know if we got him or not.
  18. I would love if we could land Seth but I have a fishy feeling that he plans to go WHL because he will feel like it is the fastest path to the NHL.
  19. From a business standpoint this makes sense. I know I have green colored glasses but I have never understood why REA is not talked about as much for a possible option to host. I know other options may be more attractive but I would find it hard to believe they couldn't fill the arena for most games.
  20. Well Seth had great game against Canada. He scored a goal and was huge defensively for team USA. Here is a link to a recap of the game and the stars. http://unitedstatesofhockey.com/2012/04/18/u18wmc-getting-bye-usa-can-recap/
  21. Mario is a great captain and I also thought Chay was great too.
  22. . My questions is do you think the same rules apply to Major Jr. fans from tweeting said player? Probably not.
  23. Or a johnson or perhaps even hrkac himself.
  24. Kind of think it will be Eades but hope it is Guentzel. It will probably be neither.
  25. You can probably even find some people who say he could go 1 or 2 as well.
