  1. http://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=92423 Fast Forward to the 3:20 mark for Drake's Friday night goal and the OT winner. He is good.
  2. I think Quentin was the one who was good friends with Seth Jones. I wonder if that has any deciding factor into this.
  3. This isn't necessarily just women's hockey related but I did find out this weekend at the womens game something interesting. I am not sure if any of you knew that in the past if a player from UND scored a hat trick in a game you would get 33% off of a hat in the SiouxShop. Apparently the NCAA caught wind of this and put the kabosh on it because it was profiting off of a student athletes success.
  4. That's the way it goes I guess.
  5. If it makes you feel any better, I talked with Brock's cousin and unlce a week ago and they were both telling me Brock wishes he would have stayed too.
  6. I know Grant and have went to Sioux games with him when he was in high school. He and his family were Sioux fans. From my understanding UND wasn't interested in him but Minnesota was otherwise he would have played for UND.
  7. Was Rylan Schwartz held off the scoring sheet last night?
  8. I do agree that it is not something you want to always have to count on the second half run because it will end at some point. I think I for the most part am disappointed in the play of our upper-class men ie. Juniors and Seniors. I don't want to start naming players individually but they have been listed by others. To have to rely on our Freshman and Sophomores to shoulder most of the scoring, all though great development for them, it is not a recipe for success short term IMO. I am sure the boys will right the ship and although last night was a loss it was a good step in their play.
  9. Thanks for the updates guys/gals!
  10. RIT has a pretty good goalie. The girls were putting shots on net and some real good scoring chances but the RIT goaltender did a good job. It probably could have been a 6-2 or more game if not for her.
  11. I am most excited about Murphy. He seems like a real good player.
  12. Although hopefully not a trend we have had bad luck lately with kids of NHLers committing and then De-committing ie. Lemiuex and Matteau
  13. Joking aside, I am very intrigued by BigFoot and it is something that has fascinated me since childhood watching the famous Patterson-Gimlin film.
  14. What are your thoughts on the goalies? Does this solidify Saunders as the starter or should Hak keep up the the rotation? I am kind of thinking Saunders should now be named starter. Nothing against Gothberg he is a good goalie but just needs a little more work.
  15. I try not to be critical of the refs but they were pretty bad tonight.
  16. Regardless of how Notre Dame is doing this year they aren't what I would call a powerhouse. BC has had great success in the last 10 yrs or so. So yeah a majority of teams you will schedule will be of the cupcake nature and you won't leave MSP if at all possible.
  17. He is now VP of Finance for the Memphis Grizzlies. I can assure you he was not forced out.
  18. I thought I heard that he hurt his shoulder or some upper body injury and it was not the ankle/leg again.
  19. And our favorite JT Miller, he now plays in the AHL for the Connecticut Whale. In 14 games he has 2 goals and 4 assists and is a -1. He has 6 PIM. http://www.ctwhale.com/team/player-stats It's just interesting to see how these guys are doing even though they bailed on us.
  20. He is now listed as playing 5 games with 2 goals and 0 assists for a +1. He does have 2 PIM http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/show/type/skaters
  21. He is out tonight and i thought I heard he hurt his shoulder last night so different than his ankle.
  22. I thought our offense was good enough to win but boy does our defense need work. I know it is a work in progress but putting up that many shots does not = good defensive play. Berry has his work cut out for him and I am sure he will get it under control.
  23. I think the last 5 to 10 years though UND has certainly gotten the better of them no question. I know last year they did win a majority of the games we played against them. However we have ended their season a couple of times and have swept them out of our building in pretty convincing fashion. To me they are just looking to play soft teams to pad their stats to ensure they make the tournament every year. We all know Minnesota doesn't like to leave their home rink so they are going to schedule as many cupcakes at home as possible.Ultimately it doesn't pay to play sub par teams and the fans will be the ones losing out.
  24. Not a recruit any longer but Brendan Lemieux has played 2 games for Barrie and has 0 points and is a - 1.
  25. If Trouba hits like that in the NHL he better learn how to fight. The other teams tough guys will be looking to settle things the old fashioned way. When I saw the hit it looked illegal as he hit the guys head with his elbow. Apparently others think differently.
