  1. Not disputing your claims but wouldn't he have already said he wasn't coming back. As the time goes on and we don't hear from him regarding leaving then I expect him to be back. School starts August 20th and it is already August 13. Edit. Reading Brad's Blog this morning it appears that there is about 1% chance Dell comes back. http://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=91368 I just don't understand why he just doesn't make it public that he is not returning if he plans to not come back. I suppose he has his reason's and I just hope he isn't stringing the coaches along. Of course they could know everything already.
  2. My brother lives in Coon Rapids and there is a mexican restaurant called El Loro that is actually quite good. Not very expensive and they have some kid friendly items as well. It was pretty authentic mexican food too. http://www.ellororestaurant.com/
  3. I saw JT Miller made the team right out of the gate. Would have been nice to have him.
  4. I tried both JL and Five Guys and in my opinion Five guys was better. They both were very good though.
  5. A little off topic but does anyone remember an ice cream joint over where Fat Alberts and Slapshot used to have their store kind of on the corner of 20th and Gateway next to the Little Ceasers or the tire place. I vaguely remember as I was little and my grandpa used to take me there for ice cream For some reason the Big Dipper comes to mind. I am not sure if that was the treat i got or the name of the ice cream shoppe. I also remember Happy Joes having much more ice cream and old fashion candy in the front of the restaurant. Those huge lollipops. You could also watch pizzas being made through a little window. Shakeys and Toppers were both good as well. I agree with Darell that the squirt tub of cheese was the best. I liked the nacho cheese. Fuddruckers as someone mentioned is pretty similar.
  6. Dickies was ok. I have eaten it twice and both times got brisket. I found on both occasions the brisket to be lacking of any seasoning and way to much fat. I hope that they can correct that moving forward. Otherwise some of their sidedishes and pulled pork were good.
  7. Since he hasn't said whether or not he is leaving I will consider Aaron Dell still a current player and he apparently is getting married today. Congrats to him.
  8. Fine dining it isn't but Red Pepper is usually a must have if you are visiting GF.
  9. Good catch. I am guessing the captionist got tongue tied but seems pretty par for wcha.com.
  10. On another note anyone else hear that Kevin Roy is possibly decommitting from Brown to go to the CHL?
  11. I just don't see the Big 10 bouncing Penn State. Wishful thinking perhaps.
  12. I find it funny that on the bigskyshop it has North Dakota Fighting Sioux listed. I thought they got the memo. http://www.bigskyshop.com/
  13. I am sure the actual players of those teams won't take UND as lightly as you are. I will leave it up to what happens on the field instead of some fan trying to pump their own tires. Its why they play the game. If they were going to listen to some fly by night fan then we might as well not even play the games or show up. I think another poster said it best. Worry about your own program.
  14. I feel so much more informed now. I am glad you helped bring clarity to our fanbase.
  15. Whoever our goaltender is it will be decided during summer workouts and practice this fall and in the locker room. Anyone of our top 3 goalies could get the starting job and I hope each one battles for the top spot as it will only help our team.
  16. I have been taking the family for probably the last 7 or so years. We really like the X and have had great seats each time. I believe the thing my family will miss the most about the X is the atmosphere and great seating. We will cherish next year even more.
  17. I think you need to add staff to that list.
  18. I will add another. Do the gophers have to travel and sleep in a hotel come tourney time? No they get to go about their normal routine. No other team that plays in the final five has that luxury at all. So with that the "Minnesota Rule" I start to see some advantages.
  19. I believe May 31 or June 1st the position closed. Then hr needs to run all their checks depending on who makes the vetting process a list of candidates are given to the hiring person. This could take a week or two for the process to run its course. You are probably looking at later this week or probably next week. Now when Hak decides to tell everyone is anyone's guess.
  20. Be that as it may I am not sure JT playing last year would have made the season any different. Looking back it would have been nice to have another healthy skater in the lineup. Assuming he wouldn't also have been injured. I just look at the guys who probably got a chance because of JT not coming. Pattyn, Seinkbeil, Gaarder.
  21. I have a pretty good feeling that no matter how hard Mr. Sieloff tries to recruit Jordan he will have no luck. On the flipside though didn't JT Miller after the draft say that he was fully committed to going to UND. We all know how well that worked out.
  22. That is correct he is not going to the WHL. He will play for the Sioux. The kid may have made some mistakes but how many on this board can say that they have never made a mistake.
  23. If true that would really be to bad. He seems like a nice kid and if that is what he decides then he must have had his reasons. One thing is for sure though, if players decide to back out on their commitments it just opens up a spot for someone who wants to play here. I guess time will tell what Mr. Voltin decides to do.
  24. I just have to wait now for my account on that forum to be accepted. Thanks goon.
  25. Does anyone have a link to some Miami fan forums? I would love to read what they are saying about this. They have been stung by this epidemic just as much as we have. Really to bad.
