  1. Maybe its because the game is normally over by then.
  2. For the record, since everybody is bringing up lacrosse, adding the sport isn't what i was suggesting - thought the money would have a better roi if funneled into basketball and football. Those of you saying that there is a strong contingent of donating baseball alumni, do you have evidence to back this up? I would think that Kraft field would have a turf outfield by now if these guys donate a significant amount of money. HIGHLY doubt they donate enough money to offset the costs of baseball, so losing their revenue wouldn't even be a big deal...
  3. Thanks Sicatoka!
  4. More info on charter - email to students said charter-flight only would be $875. Guessing same option is available to non students.
  5. Well I don't think they should drop Softball because the Big Sky offers it and because of title 9. Cratter/mk - I know it has been discussed but I couldn't find the thread! Thought was fresh on my mind due to the weather - it really is wishful thinking that UND baseball could be even semi-successful. I wouldn't mind lax if they did it at memorial, I think they could be very competitive, considering the talent in the Twin Cities and the fact that there are no D1 lax schools nearby. I would prefer they save the money for our current sports, however. Use it to pay a quality basketball coach. To the point of the thread, is there ANY chance that they will ever do this? Or should I just forget about it? edit: perhaps I should have just asked gfhockey what his goodol' boys have to say about it haha
  6. As great of a sport baseball is, and for how terrible it would be for the current players, does anybody else think that UND should drop baseball? Being realistic, we just don't live in a geographic area that is conductive to fielding a competitive team. They can't even play here, period! UND has plenty of sports at the moment, and baseball isn't even sponsored by the Big Sky. Basketball and Football could certainly use the money... One important thing to think about - If we didn't already have a team, would there be any reason to add one? Answer is NO.
  7. Just fill out the bus with 13-18 strippers! or don't you have enough money?
  8. Maybe? LOL... enjoy Arizona for us, PLEASE.
  9. Can't help but wonder what the TV ratings will be. Unfortunately there are 11 NHL games that night, including the wild.
  10. I see you conveniently ignored my post...
  11. How many women's teams outdraw NDSU hoops? Use your fingers and toes and you still won't come close to counting them all..
  12. Hurry up!
  13. Melrose can suck it. What a cheap hit on Union...
  14. I think St.Cloud would be nice but we don't need another D1 to take recruits, and MN prob wouldn't give them funding.
  15. Please NOT NC... very little potential compared to an Eastern Washington, Portland, or Weber.
  16. irrelevant*
  17. One of my friends didn't get let in because she was too drunk. Never had a problem at any other arena and she wasn't being boligerant. They took her ticket so she couldn't sell it. Kinda ridiculous IMO..
  18. They attempted a handful of TERRIBLE shots, each and every game. They were good but didn't play smart. The lack of team ball was the reason we were so inconsistent.
  19. I don't wanna get mugged! And I'll have my girlfriend along. Kinda joking, but seriously....
  20. Anyone else get nervous about going downtown, mpls? Grand Forks has ruined me, and I'm from the cities haha
  21. I can't wait for next years team because Huff won't be on it. Feel like there will be more team chemistry and passing.
  22. It doesn't help that they took away lower bowl tickets and made everything ga. Students have to wait in line for 2-3+ hours to get lower bowl seats. So much for pre gaming....
  23. http://www.unipanthers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=26200&ATCLID=209403790 "The University of Northern Iowa volleyball team will host its spring tournament April 12 in the Wellness/Recreations Center on the UNI campus. Play will get underway at 9 a.m. on four courts and admission is free. The Panthers will play host to seven other schools in the tournament including Iowa State, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota, North Dakota State and South Dakota."
