  1. Just saw the part where Huff was stuffed on the dunk. Nash looked unhappy that he did not get the ball in that spot, he would have had an easy 2.
  2. didn't get to watch the game last night, so re-watching it and will give thoughts in a bit
  3. I'm just getting tired of UND athletics being painted in a bad light as It seems to be happening lately.
  4. Disappointed that we let that one slip away (like we did against UNI, we should be at 5-1.) Have to find a way to finish those game, this is the same team (with better guards, IMO) that went to Utah and beat them. If they have gotten those 2 games against Minnesota and UNI, being at 5-1 with solid wins at Minnesota, UNI, UW-Milwaukee and home against South Dakota would have given serious buzz to this team going into the NDSU game. I think overall the team is a lot better than last year and with Dyer coming to us at the end of the month and hopefully Dillon and Lauck returning to full health, this team can make a run to the top of the Big Sky.
  5. UND takes two this weekend. Zane is hopefully locked in for the year
  6. Instead of talking about this over in the Hardee thread, I figured a separate thread to discuss this would apply. I threw my support behind the Concordia St. Paul volleyball coach Brady Starkey. Who do you think should end up with the job?
  7. I think Brown will get a look, but it might be hard for me to see him or Joki getting the job. If I want someone for the job. Two words: Brady Starkey
  8. Its what I read into as well after a quick google. Some conferences have a 1 year sit out policy for transfers within conference. Not 100% sure if this still is the rules
  9. This just seems to get uglier as the story unfolds. This seriously can't get worse can it?
  10. Hardee resigned. Schloss broke it on chat just now
  11. One option out the door today: Oregon's QB is coming back to school. Honestly, other than Manzel (and even I think he might go back 1 more year) who will come early? I really think it will end up being 1 prize and that will be Bridgewater.
  12. I think the breakdown goes like this Men's BB 2010-11: NDSU 2011-12: UND 2012-13: NDSU 2013-14: UND Record: Tied 2-2 Women's BB 2012-13: UND 2013-14: TBD Record: 1-0 UND Volleyball 2010-11: NDSU 2011-12: UND 2012-13: UND 2013-14: UND Record 3-1 UND Soccer: 2010-11: NDSU 2011-12: TIE 2012-13: NDSU 2013-14: UND Record 2-1-1 NDSU Baseball: 2009-10: UND 3-1 2010-11: NDSU 1-0* (Game up in GF was cancelled due to weather, thus only 1 game between the two teams) 2011-12: NDSU 4-0 2012-13: Split 2-2 2013-14: TBD Record: 8-5 NDSU Football: Haven't played Softball: technically "haven't played" (they did play 2 games in a non-championship format which NDSU won both) There is your 13-12-1 NDSU edge since the teams went to D-1. If I broke it down year by year 2009-10: UND 3-1 2010-11: NDSU 4-0 2011-12: NDSU 4-2-1 2012-13: TIE 4-4 2013-14: UND 3-0* (with women's bball and 2 baseball games remaining) Any questions?
  13. Did I really see 4 people outside and 1 in when they ran zone these 3 games? I don't think I saw 1 time a UND player in the gap at the free throw line. I would seriously run a 1-3-1 offense when they play 2-3. I would put Nash/Traylor/Huff/Schuler right at the free throw line and make them pay. They need to quit dribbling so much in the zone and actually pass faster to keep them moving. GET TO THE GAPS OF THE ZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its that simple to beat a zone, it really is!
  14. http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/279288/group/homepage/ guess we have our answer Jones said he trimmed the team’s rotation based on Oregon’s zone defense and the Ducks’ quick posts. That meant more minutes for Shane Benton, who chipped in five points, two rebounds and two assists. The lineup shuffle limited the playing time for usual regulars Alonzo Traylor, Ryan Salmonson, Lenny Antwi and Cole Stefan.
  15. Compared to Poly this was a major improvement. I wonder why Traylor, Salmonson, and Antwi didn't play tonight?
  16. I am tired of the BS that is going on over on the Poly thread, so its time for a fresh start. Forget yesterday and move on. All can be forgotten if UND shows up and knocks off the Ducks today.
  17. Season stays alive with a comeback of their own 25-23 set 3 win!
  18. Hooker back to the line makes 1 of 2 Poly 50 UND 31
  19. in the bonus Hooker for a 1 and 1. Makes 1 of 2 Poly 48 UND 30
  20. Traylor to the line for 2 and makes both Poly 46 UND 29
