  1. If they make the Final 4 I take it all back
  2. They are a great story, but I'm not sure anyone could ever top 2010 Butler. Almost had that faily tale ending too. *They aren't Cinderellas anymore but... one time they were.
  3. Where did you see/hear the roster moves? Tough on Wallace, shame that her UND career was cut short due to her injury. Glad to see she will get a chance to play again.
  4. Wish I could remember off of the top of my head, something with his leg. Put some muscle on these freshman! Would love a Douglas Wilson/Vinnie Shahid type of player to make their way here..... I mean a person can dream right????
  5. It is my understanding, again this is from listening to Dosch on the Reaching the Summit Podcast, he would have provided some athleticism that they needed. His JUCO stats make him an interesting prospect, but coming off of injury... he is a big wild card.
  6. He does need to hit on those 3 open scholarships. If they do, I truly believe that they would make a huge jump in the standings. It was more than just the portal as to why last year was disasterous. Everything went wrong for this team, I doubt it happens again.
  7. Archambault went into the portal today.
  8. In discussing this, we need to remove Rebraca from this discussion. His situation was incredibly unique and outside of UND changing his grad program to inperson or changing the visa rules, Sather had zero control on him leaving. This can be chalked up to really bad luck. There isn't a clear answer to what has happened in 2020-21 and 2021-22. I don't think it is a coaching issue, because it there was stuff going on behind the scenes that was not great, something would have leaked by now and there would be another great exodus (the surprise was Bruns, but there appears to be other factors at play with this one, if it wasn't for COVID Igbanugo would have graduated this year, and McGrath just didn't work out, which happens). *This can still change and we shall see if there is more movement coming. The 2020-21 season, they took a team that lost Stewart and Walter to graduation, and DAE to injury and opt-out in the season, took in several new pieces and finished 8-8 in the conference. Beat USD three times with Umude and AJ, beat NDSU (should have beaten them twice that year), and took one game down in ORU. Was there dissapointing losses in that season, yes. However, they did show that they could compete and beat some of the big knockers (minus SDSU). I'm not saying that this is where UND needs to be, but progress was being made. I think there is another thing you can consider: poor decision making on the players part. I can think of a few players that were better served staying here than moving on. This year: Everything went wrong. Yeah, losing Bruns sucks... but they only won 6 games. Lets not act like he can't be replaced. There is reason for optimism: Eaglestaff and Omot are legit. Mathews is going to take a big jump (in my mind). A healthy Nero and Levias back in the fold. Norman and T improving as well. Sueker hopefully coming back. Grant improving his shot over the summer. Plus: still have 3 open scholarships to find talent. Get a talented point guard, another big and another scoring threat and they will be back in business. Beauty about basketball: It can go quickly, but you can fix it quickly if you hit the right buttons.
  9. You might be onto something, Archambault just went into the portal.
  10. Because I felt at the time that since the SoDak Schools didn't give him the time of day, that that would give him a massive chip of his shoulder to prove himself and beat them every time. Why would I want to go somewhere that didn't want me and ONLY wanted me because I tore it up my freshman year. Just me, I would have told them to kick rocks. I also didn't expect some nonsense.
  11. SDSU should be a heavy favorite yes, but USD with AJ fully healthy will be dangerous. NDSU still has Nelson and Morgan, giving them probably the best frontcourt in the conference, ORU will be tough still even with Abmas leaving. KC still has Allick and have seen to finally have found a coach in Donlon. Denver will build off of their great freshman class, UST has a good one coming in, UND will be better with their incoming freshman, Omaha has some talent and a new coach, WIU is a bit of a question.
  12. Mankato East got the #4 seed for the Class 3A state tournament. They get Mound-Westonka in Round 1, winner more than likely gets Totino-Grace on Friday, which could be a matchup between two future Summit Lee players in Lee (T-G, going to UST) and Omot (East, going to UND)
  13. If Luis is still here of course... I don't think they are done yet.
  14. The AFC just has all of the QBs. They are ridicuously stacked. NFC.... crickets No wonder Brady came back.
  15. Worst kept secret in Brookings was revealed Noah Freidel in the portal.
  16. Maybe I misinperpreted the emojis. Haha Mathews is my pick to be most improved next year. Depending on the return of Sueker will depend on if UND needs 1 or 2 more bigs in my mind.
  17. Seemed pretty pumped he got an offer. Not sure what he brings to the table (haven't watched any of the highlights), it is always tough with these JUCOs on what you are going to get. Stevens must know something about that program to keep making offers (Norman and Wagstaff were offered last year and both attended Snow College).
  18. UND offered this guy from Snow College (JUCO) Same one as Matt Norman https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/drake-allen
  19. Well now that I saw the requirments, you can forget my idea.
  20. Going to a certain Island in downtown Minneapolis for starters.
  21. USD still has AJ, Archambault, and Tasos NDSU still has Nelson and Morgan Despite their losses, they still have these key pieces to build around. When right AJ is the best guard outside of Abmas and can go off. Nelson and Morgan should make the best frontcourt in the conference next year.
  22. Alright, lets turn our attention to next season. Which of the incoming freshman will have the biggest impact next year?
  23. Probably still 9 dollars It is Coors after all
  24. I can say that UND does at least that in bolded. UND also need to haul their BAND down there as well.
