Not one mention of the play Golladay made? Best catch I've ever seen in person period.

One of my all time favorites, played with that edge

Today is the day where UND builds the confidence to start rolling and turning some heads
-
The Big Sky got alot harder and deeper with the addition of the Great West schools. Davis won't suck forever and SUU has a dangerous offense and both us and Poly are contenders right out of the gate. Pair that with EWU Mont St Mont and NAU and you've got a top 6 that is better than any other top six in any conference in FCS. Also the teams below that like Portland Weber SUU and Davis and you've got quite the conference. Down? No, just more competitive.

Nephew and you can look no further than the first post in this thread

I guess it's late enough in the week for a prediction. UND >40 Poly <24 The seniors are bitter about the last two years and are going to take it our on Poly. Look for the D line to be very solid all day. UND rushes for 200 yards and throws for 300 yards. DBs don't blow a coverage or allow a long completion all day. Hardin always has a good day against Poly, also look for Golladay to have a nice game. Kennedy on defense is made to defend the run so he should be an impact player. The block party will continue. The hogs will pound them with their confidence that they regained last week. The crowd will be back for the first time in a while, the students are starting to have stars on a team to watch and be excited for for the first time since Dressler and Chappell played.

Everything I said is true

The B1G is a terrible conference compared to the past. The ACC has way better teams at the top, and the SEC would eat any of them alive. There is a reason that B1G teams play in the championship bowl alot and that is because of the past, their teams get overrated and then spanked by an SEC school (same with the Big 12). The entire B1G has been down for around 10 years.

Interesting question, is it better for us if Montana or EWU win? I'm thinking on one hand Montana would be very down with losses on the year and not have the typical swagger and level of play making it easier for us to win. On the other hand we match up wayyy better with Montana than EWU so if we were probably going to lose to only one of them I'd bet on EWU meaning a win by the Griz would keep them one win down in the standings and give us a chance. I'm kind of leaning towards the Griz win vs EWU as better for UND on the year.

He should ask us how it feels to win in that dome

Yea totally dood back in my day dying from alcohol poisoning was a badge of honor. Stupid nerd probably cost him legend status by sending him to the hospital. Nerds..... Always getting in the way of jocks dying in super cool ways. You should be proud of yourself for showing so much class.

EXTREMELY HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION. Let's say UND goes undefeated over the next 5. How high would we be ranked?
-
Best part about this game on sat is that we won't have to sit and watch as Joey Bradley piss the game down his leg. UND offense 2.0 will be lightyears better no matter who plays QB. I for one am ecstatic to see how we match up with Poly having a complete offense.
-
I for one am glad that they don't have Romanelli anymore, he was a beast

I'm thinking our secondary will continue to improve, look at the improvement from Portland to last night. The difference is night and day. Passing out of the option is really hard to defend on the other hand.... I'm more confident in them this year though. 3-4 is going to do what it was created to do
-
They aren't as good as their record or their ranking. Give them a few weeks to be exposed

Cal Poly is back for more this year in the Alerus. These games are always close and always entertaining. They are a team that we all are very familiar with and their offense is a very interesting matchup with our defense. Their QB is Snoop Doggs nephew and is very good at orchestrating the option. They score 32.5 points/game vs allowing 18points/game They run for 324 yards/game and pass for 84.5 yards/game Leading rusher Deonte Williams 148 yards/game 1TD long of 74 QB Andre Broadous has passed for 169 yards and 3 TDs at 61% This game should be a good one, Poly is our top rival in the Big Sky as of now. The Alerus should be packed. Prediction (as of now): PAIN

I'm thinking/hoping that the reason for the woes of the run defense is a result of being spread out by Sac St PSU and SDSU. SDSU didn't spread as much as the other two but they were also FBS. I'm thinking that against a more compact alignment such as Poly Mont and NAU the run defense will improve greatly. Luckily the 3-4 was designed for the option (Poly) so next week we should be in position to hold them down in the stats but for that to happen we need to tackle. If I'm wrong about the spread thing than we've got a big problem if we can't force alot of turnovers ala the Saints defense recently.

I'm a big homer as far as Hendrickson is concerned, always have been, but what I saw from Hansen cannot be on the bench. The offense with Hanson at the helm is like a finely tuned Swiss watch. He's clinical in his reads and has a more than deft touch on his passes. His arm is strong enough to make 95% of the throws that we've seen Marcus make so thats not much of an issue. I know Marcus can scramble when he needs but Braden will complete more passes and get us into better/shorter 3rd down situations where we can just hand the ball off instead of rely on a 9 yard run by the QB. I wish Marcus had played lights out last night and forced his way into the start next week but he didn't. He was pretty average last night and missed alot of throws. Once again Hanson will have to prove himself worthy to the Hendrickson Bandwagoneers. He will have his own bandwagon soon enough for those people top get on because if he's 90% going into Poly we are in very very good hands. Hanson '12

I'd hate to see them over-coach this situation and ruin offensive rhythm
-
I wish Marcus would have at least made the discussion hard on the coaches, he showed why Braden is the dude, it's all about the consistancy. We do have one hell of a backup QB though,

I'm kinda glad that the offense left the eye liner at home this week and pounded their D into submission. The D looked better in the second half but still...... almost 500 yards again -492 it think- is ridiculous. I know they had long fields to drive and all but the run D missed tackles again but did show some glimpses of what they should be. The D line needs to step it up and get sacks when they get pressure. We didn't seem too aggressive with the pass rush with our LBs, I don't like that even though I do understand that they were spreading it out alot making blitzing more difficult. At least we showed that we can still win ugly like last year, all good teams need to be able to do that.
