Maybe move Mersereau to cb? He's fast enough and would be a big strong corner. He's a finesse player anyway so I'd rather have that at cb than safety.

That would be awesome if Marcus is able to make enough of an impression to get a look at the NFL. Hanson will get a look so that could be two in one year which would be unheard of.

He is a true pocket passer. Marcus is one of the fastest guys on the team, no comparison as far as mobility goes. Hanson does have very good pocket awareness though

To me it looked like he didn't real it in completely until his left foot touched down out of bounds. Either way, you can't blame the officials for the pick 6 or the running into the punter or the missed tackles.

When a coach says 'week to week, month to month' that is not good at all. That means they have no timetable other than what his body shows them. You'd think his ankle would've healed by now so something must not have gone right.

Point is that anyone who played at a high level understands that the time is spent on the mental side of the game in practice. Not going live, not doing tackling drills, working on scheme. UND recruits players who know how to tackle. These players who are playing D this year had no problem tackling last year, God knows why they can't seem to do it this year.

Looking at that 'TD' to the TE his foot was out and the refs missed it in the review. Can't leave it to the reffs.......

This week UND makes a return trip to Cali with bad intentions. To open up Big Sky play with a win will be huge. Sac St. is 2-1 with a loss at New Mexico St (19-49) a win at garbage Colorado (30-28) with a late FG and a win at home against Northern Colorado (28-17) This team has shown ability to be very good but also mediocre. On the season they have 2-1 passing to rushing yards and convert on 3rd down at a rate of 33%. Their QB Garrett Safron is 64 of 102 with 2 ints and 6 TDs on 62.7% for 802 yards on the year. Ezekiel Graham is the leading rusher with 51 carries for 226 yards and 1 TD. Their D is giving up 31.4 per game and 294 yards/game passing and 110 yards/game rushing.

And he is SICK

It's not an excuse for the tackling but they don't teach tackling in college that's for high school and pop warner. When you go to a college you're supposed to know how to tackle, they can't waste valuable practice time on form tackling. It was on the players for making it an issue but now on the coaches to fix it.

Wrong. It did last year for us with Fresno.

More than that we need to be able to run the damn ball, simple as that. A good run game is a defenses best friend, just ask NDSU. T.O.P. = fresh defense.

I thought he should've been 3rd string last year. He held our team back like crazy with his 94 yard passing performances and noodle arm.

Hendrickson completed 54% of his passes, that is far from the virtuoso performance that people are claiming he had last night. He did torch them and make plays with his legs but could've been better. There are obviously alot of things that go into the game and he was very good last night, just not great. 70% completion would have won us the game and been a legendary performance. He went through a dry spell last night, which we couldn't afford with that embarrassment they call a defense out there. When Hanson is healthy he will start. He proved he was better in camp and he will show all of you whenever he gets to play next. If you think the offense is great with Marcus just wait until you see the version with Hanson and his ability to read defenses.

When Hanson is healthy he will play, period. Marcus did fantastic but Hanson is just better, no other way to put it. It's really hard to say that because I've been a big fan of hendricksons and thought he shouldve played last year.

I'm so bitter about this game. We spot them 14 and show grit, but not on defense. How is it that everyone forgot how to break down and tackle through someone instead of playing two hand touch? The defense needs to watch some old film of Digger and the 01 team to see what playing defense at UND is supposed to look like. If we can't run the ball next week then we need to remind the o line to leave their purses at home and move somebody. It's the same line as last year basically and they can't run block now. I hope Kleason can come back soon......
