I know it's hard to wrap your mind around concepts and thoughts and then attempt to comment on those 'thoughts' but really, you sold out every game this year? Also for your hockey comment, notice how I didn't say they sellout against lower teams? Apparently not.

I don't have attendance numbers from last time UND was #1 in football and played a bad team but every year the hockey team has at least 11,000 people in the seats for exhibition games or series against a terrible Michigan Tech team. 0-7 sounds like an excuse to me. You guys were 7-0 and just beat Minnesota, if the attendance wasn't pathetic the thread wouldn't have existed in the first place. Back to the whole point of the link, UND football will continue to improve in the attendance department for the next couple of years as we regain our rightful national prominence.

If you're the #1 team in the country and coming off of a huge win like they were you should very close to a sellout the next game and have an excited atmosphere regardless of who you play.

Must be nice to have really high reading comprehension and realize that they were the #1 team in the country coming off of a win against a big ten team. Or understanding that them getting a crowd of 16000 is the same as having 10200 at the Alerus.

Which makes this years sieve they call a defense all the more disappointing. I'm expecting a win this weekend, by about 14.

Perhaps the expectations were to win. The team was plenty good enough to make the playoffs this year, they failed. Execution of small things at critical times in important winnable games was unacceptable. Finishing 6-5 if we win this week will be ok, 3 of our losses were given to the opponent which makes 6-5 seem not so good. Expectations need to be sky high every year, if they aren't, don't expect the team to attain any great success. There's a reason NDSU is successful.

Being near the top in the offensive stats is not nearly as important as being the top defense. Hopefully they can improve like SDSU did from last year. Defense always travels well in any weather, the same can't be said about offense.

That's nothing to brag about. Those are teams we should beat with regularity. Beating ranked teams is something to actually feel good about, maybe next year we can feel good about that.

MSU EWU NDSU and possibly SDSU all have chances to go deep.

Me neither, Hardin McGill Jackson Golladay Fletcher Townsend and Bridges, that's a totally different animal than Vraa and Smith. Our D will improve next year, hopefully as much as SDSU's did. If they do, with that favorable schedule, we'll see you in the playoffs.

The way SDSU finished that game with mental mistake after mental mistake kind of tainted a really hard hitting defensive battle.... that illegal substitution penalty left me dumbfounded.

Lets make the game happen, in the dome, once North Dakota gets another taste of that game they will demand more. Doesn't even matter who wins or by how much, the publicity would be insane and the atmosphere at and leading up to the game would be like no other. Nobody cares about Western Carolina anyway, buy them out and get an instant classic on the schedule.

We could chip in on a buy out of their Western Carolina game and schedule a game for the 14th in the Fargo Dome. I'm sure their fans no matter how arrogant and stubborn they may be would much rather watch the Bizun pound UND instead of pound Western Carolina. Hopefully Montana pulls the trigger and we can make a deal.

That bye will be crucial to the success of next years team. It would be nice if it was a week or two later but it is defiantly better than not having one till november.

Good thing is that UND found out how good a winless UNC team was last year and know that they've improved so there should be no underestimating by UNDs team.

Northern Colorado is much improved this year and contrary to popular belief they were a pretty talented team last year. Last year they obviously didn't win, losing can set in like a virus and it must have in a big way for them last year. This year they are better and have been a tough team to play recently. It should be a good game for sure.
