  1. sooooo, this new recruit. seems pretty decent. who else was after him?
  2. Msu looks like a southern team playing their first cold weather game.
  3. Random question. Is there a list of all players from the 1987 team that played in the NHL and which team they played for?
  4. So either NDSU had better players and worse coaches or just plain worse players in the 90's. I wonder which one is true?
  5. Unfortunately his long jump is only 19' 2"....
  6. Healthy kleason at guard with a developing Anderson with walker in the middle and you've got a supremely athletic interior. Mcgurran was good but slow as molasses same with gilson.
  7. We better get this guy if it comes down to us and Central Michigan.
  8. Is he more of an olb type of player? Lots of discrepancy on his listed height.
  9. I say screw going the JUCO QB route. Look at the guy that went to PSU who broke Aaron Rogers' records. He got beat out by a true freshman that wasn't nearly the recruit that Bartels and Mollberg were. On one hand I wouldn't mind giving the keys to the program to Mollberg and Bartels and have them gain maximum experience and lead the team for four years. If it worked out that would be fantastic to have a face of the program type of QB for a long tenure. On the other hand getting a good FBS dropdown like Hanson to be a bridge to the future QBs would be nice with the WRs we have next year. For comparisons sake Shortell was ranked 22nd/58th by rivals/scout and was a 3 star recruit while ESPN gave him a 74 grade and 2 stars. Hanson was ranked 34th by scout and a 3 star with ESPN giving him a 74 grade. Ironically Joe Mollberg also was graded as a 74 by ESPN with 2 stars (impressive for a guy from Detroit Lakes to be on ESPNs radar.) For us to get a dropdown they better be very good or it won't be worth it since Bartels and Mollberg are very good young QBs and either could develop into a cornerstone for years to come. I think it may be a red flag that he only had an offer from UM.... Hanson had offers from Iowa Wisconsin UNC Missouri and other good schools.
  10. Lets play next year. If you guys win or even kick ass it wouldn't be the first time and would get the ball rolling for continuation of the series. All the pressure would be on NDSU and UND would be massive underdogs so why not?
  11. buttretractableroof and buttundergradadmissions are missing from your list
  12. At NDSU yes. Their track record speaks for itself.
  13. We need all the athletic hard working ND kids we can get. They're the foundation of the program and understand the history of the program.
  14. Hopefully those guys are more of a Panzer type younger brother than a Toews type younger brother....
  15. Last time a stud forward left UND early for a locked out NHL it worked out pretty well for him.
  16. Aside from him the only guys that seem to fit that mold currently are Pattyn and Panz
  17. Also this hit was extremely satisfying.
  18. I'm not sure which Greene story I love more, this one or the one where he walks away after a car hit him in downtown Edmonton. We need more guys like him on D. I like the puck moving offensive guys for what they bring to the table skill wise but there is nothing better than knowing your team has the toughest dude on the ice every night that isn't afraid to make sure the opponents know it.
  19. Ran a 10.7 100m as a Jr, not bad. We need guys all over the field that can break into the 10s and some guys around 10.5s. I like how dynamic and tenacious this guy plays. Can he tackle? Or maybe the heir to our Sr small wrs roles.
  20. We need to hit some home runs this year. A cornerstone db and lb would be nice. I'm starting to antsy for some commits, we haven't had any reported names in a while just a lot of chest bumping.
  21. Resume of a senior and two guys who had their shirts pulled. He'll earn his way into playing time next season after Jake and jer proved they can't be feature backs in the big sky unless they get to the second level untouched which is unrealistic.
  22. I'm confident that sparks will be a big factor next year. They do need another guy though because Varner will need another year to bulk up. Jake Miller to the slot next year? I wouldn't be opposed.
  23. I hope the chestbump was for LB Mike Redmond from Minnetonka, 6-4 220 lbs 4.65. It's the type of size and speed we need at lb moving forward.
