  1. He'd do quite well at the combine. I hope he gets an invite, it'd be nice to be able to compare 40 times of combine to UND. For example Percy Harvin ran a 4.2 at Florida and a 4.40 at the combine.
  2. The comments about Cheatom are exciting. I hope Edwards will be 100% by Valpo, those two could be quite the combo.

  4. I hold him in very high regard myself. He had unbelievable touch with his passes and Marino like footwork. At the end of the day he wasn't that big and didn't have a strong arm at all. He was able to make up for his physical shortcomings with his intangibles. Watching Freund Dressler Chapple and Trenbeth was a thing of beauty.
  5. Pretty much. Joe has a slightly stronger arm and quicker release while Ryan has slightly better touch. Also his throws tend to lean a little bit which gives a receiver more surface area to catch, i.e. easier to catch. They're both realistically incredibly ahead of the game for freshman. Both could start and be studs.
  6. If its a dead heat after Valpo my gut tells me they'll go with Mollberg because of mobility
  7. With all due respect to Freund, he had nowhere near the tools that Mollberg possesses.
  8. He will. He won't make the same mistake twice.
  9. I enjoy checking out practices but haven't had the opportunities yet this camp.
  10. Defense ill go Butler and Edwards. Offense ill go with Shaugabay and Pecosky. Bonus special teams pick, William Vanilla Thunder James. Butler could become the enforcer along side Lewis. Edwards will become a playmaking NT. Something we haven't had since 2001. Shaugabay should take over #1 RB spot with Pecosky clearing big holes. The former OL should be a really good FB in the trenches. James will kill it on kick coverage.
  11. Pick 2 players on offense and defense that you think will have a breakout year in 2013. If they played alot last year a breakout would be significantly improving their production. It'd be preferable to pick players that have yet to prove themselves.
  12. Ill even bet Jake Hanson will get some snaps in that game.
  13. Ill try and make it to the scrimmage.
  14. The Packers had a scout at practice today.
  15. It's not what the recruit sees as much as it is a coach able to explain why a tight knit family starts with a tight knit locker room both literally and figuratively. And compared to the old lockers the last thing I'm worried about now is the impression the locker room makes on recruits. The new lockers are innumerably better than the old. What a recruit would notice is that our locker room is way nicer than ndsu's. Check out Jake Howrschners twitter for an example of tight knit.
  16. I actually have to disagree with you on that. Having experienced that locker room for myself I know how close everyone is to each other. It actually makes the team a closer knit family. Instead of having it spread way out like the alerus you're right next to your brothers. I don't like when locker rooms are too big it takes away from the togetherness.
  17. Not after how that worked out with Townsend who was a QB in high school.
  18. One thing I noticed from this is how built Sharp is. His neck and traps are big time for a true fr. He could easily get up to 210 by his rSO year.
  19. If you go to the actual youtube page it describes it in more detail. "Opening Drive, a behind-the-scenes look at the North Dakota football team, is back for its second season. The web show will preview the 2013 season for the University of North Dakota with weekly episodes leading up to the kickoff on Thursday, Aug. 29. Episodes will continue monthly through the season. Opening Drive returns as newcomers come to campus, move into residence halls and get ready for their first collegiate practice. Meanwhile the returning members of the team look to build off a first season in the Big Sky Conference. The next episode of Opening Drive will debut on Aug. 15 at 9 p.m. on UNDsports.com and Youtube.com/undathletics. Opening Drive is presented by Scheels. Use the hash tags #NDproud and #OpeningDrive to talk about the series on social media. Follow UND football with #BrickByBrick."
  20. They are doing it for the whole season this year
  21. How bout watch this instead of pissing in the wind?
  22. I know Thomas wasn't our ad then. I'm just saying it wasn't his fault back then. It was in the 2000s though
  23. Was he our AD in 1978?
  24. Probably not since GF has been a hockey town since the 50s. But football would be alot closer at the very least. Maybe if football went on some ridiculous run like ndsu did in the 80s but outside of that hockey is pretty entrenched in the blood of GF.
