  1. I'm watching a recording of 'When They Were Kings' and getting a lot of memories of what UND football used to look like and what it looks like now. The beginning of the program shows the ineptitude of UND in the late 80's against NDSU and it's like watching replays from the Montana and MSU games. Then thesecond part of the football program comes on and I see highlights of UND's defense and guys are destroying opponents. Then there are highlights of the offense. The QB's were always accurate at least and the power running game was a constant. Then come the Kleinsasser highlights.... he's bigger than our offensive linemen. The biggest differences though are the heart, passion, and grit that the players played with. So what made UND great?
  2. It doesn't get any better. Maybe Hopslam.
  3. Tailgating and beer go hand in hand. Go to tailgating beer anyone? Also has anyone had any beers from Crows Peak out of Spearfish SD? They have an IPA that goes down smooth and is 6.5% ac.
  4. Half is not most. Also they should play Edwards and Chestom way more. I always wonder if Carothers could be an OLB. I'm also curious why we haven't seen Rich or Butler other then on special teams. Both looks physically able to make an impact.
  5. http://www.ferrisstatebulldogs.com/sports/fball/coaches/Annese_Tony This guy can coach
  6. Golladay, Edwards, Anderson, Carothers, Iverson, Kuksa, Meindel and Cheatom. All of these guys have made an impact this year. We're talking about true fr so and rfr here. All of these players have shown promise compared to the upper classmen. If these guys are mentally tough they'll want to be apart of the solution and turn things around. If not, I don't want players that lack mental toughness and conviction like you see with some of the upper classmen.
  7. Those guys are also not NDSU guys. It's different with guys like Fuchs and Vigen.
  8. Tennis will probably never be good. It's ND. Not a place for tennis. When was the last time softball was good? Brewster seems like a good coach. That remains to be seen. The soccer coach seems legit. That program had been terrible though. Hardee and Idolski have been great.
  9. I actually never said he was good. I just didn't want to fire a coach with the circumstances he had early on. He did a decent job in 2010 but other than that it's been grasping for straws to find positives.
  10. All of his hires look pretty good actually.
  11. Coaching the ol is very important. I heard from a good source that he wanted an actual parking spot like the other coaches so he didn't get parking tickets and obviously his knee is beyond messed up so he should be able to park close to anywhere he goes. Mussman wouldn't give him a spot.... That was pretty much the last straw for me. I still tried to believe in the players but it's just not working obviously.
  12. The most damning of all things Mussman has done is the reason why Lotysz isn't helping out anymore.
  13. It won't be long before USD is better than us, wait, maybe that's already happened..... They're improving every day thanks to their new HC.
  14. Everyone needs to get on the emailing of Faison and make it clear that it is in the athletic departments best interest financially to fire Mussman. And I don't want to have to wait to see if we can hang with Idaho st. They can pass the ball and, well, we know what that could mean.
  15. He is officially a broken man. Time to trim the fat.
  16. I had heard that they actually had the money lined up for the practice facility years ago but the doners pulled out when Lennon left.
  17. I didn't say to pull shirts like crazy. We need some more of the young talent out there though.
  18. Rich is an OLB and Bell is a guard. Stockwell is the tackle. Had anyone noticed how Sharp is built? He's a true fr and looks like a damn horse.
  19. Cut him loose tonight. I don't want to wait the rest of the season.
  20. Recruiting needs to hit the JUCOs hard for DBs DEs LBs and anyone else that can bridge the gap.
  21. I'm waiting to see what the post game presser is like.
  22. Who is saying what?
  23. Fantasy coaching staff.. HC/DC/DL Hazelton LB Digger and/or Schmidt CB/S somebody TE/OL coach Kleinsasser w/ Lotysz RB coach Roehl WR coach Bellmore QB/OC Bollinger
  24. I would take Berg over anyone as far as discipline and toughness. He wasn't much for X's and O's but he could motivate players to do anything and was a master at having the team buy in to the program and be a family. He only had a few really good teams in his years as a coach.
  25. That's the plus side of having low end coaching salaries. I only wish MSU could have put up 80 pts today.
