Snap issues cost us early in the year. The OL did improve 10 fold by the end of the year. There are some very good young players on the line that showed some major promise last year and Anderson has been our best OL of the past 3 years so there is potential. I just feel like coach Knapf is going to have his group ready to maul people by fall. He took a dumpster fire and turned them into a running weapon by the end of the year.
Francis almost beat him out as a true FR. I'd be surprised if he didn't this spring. He's got so much more potential and Boas was too often a liability last year.
So where are we at for OL without him?
Francis will probably start at center. Stockwell at LT. Anderson at LG. Miller at RG. Maybe Camy at RT or Meehan. Steiner and Bell for depth?
This staff is crushing recruiting this year. Carter has that first step and twitch that we need and also appears to have decent size for a corner. Palmborg looks like a solid player that could develop nicely.
These two games count for nothing. Get the sweep over with and keep everyone healthy. Duluth showed us how we need to play against good teams. Playing Niagra is a glorified scrimmage.
It could be the old case of someone being smooth. That doesn't translate to film all that well. I just don't see that explosive step like Momoh or Bennett.
