I prefer humble gyms to fancy ones myself but a nice one for a team is good to show off. Give Baukol a team full of D1 athletes that are bought in and he'll do exactly what Kramer has done.
They didn't run from us, they got away from a sputtering D2. If we had any vision and sense back then we would have jumped with them and they would never have reached their current level because they wouldn't have been running away with recruits scott free. We can blame ourselves for the juggernaut they've been and now we find ourselves playing catchup, fighting against perception more than anything. Time to step up.
Step your game up. Your smack is weak as !@#$. At least try and use some facts, it's a hell of a lot more effective than just making !@#$ up.
If he can get his elbow under control and tighten up his mechanics like Aaron Rogers did his first couple of years in the NFL there's no doubt he could make it. As of right now he misses too many easy throws. Can't teach his height speed and other physical gifts.
Two of our recruits were named to Canada's U18 football team. Zack Williams and Mason Bennett. Both of these guys may be corner stones down the road along with Olivera. I love our new focus on Canada, they have numerous diamonds in the rough up there.
They have enough leverage that one scholarship doesn't really matter. They have so much depth and talent that if he doesn't bring the effort he'll never see the field and likely leave. It's not like FCS or small time FBS where you can't whiff on "big time" recruits. The big schools can absorb those misses and move on like nothing happened.
Which makes me wonder..... Who are NDSUs most successful, life after football, alumni? UND frankly has enough to start a thread dedicated to it, but you just don't hear about NDSU former players going on to greatness in their fields.
Our top recruiter should be Alex Tillman. He's from the south and an FBS school and has really seemed to enjoy his time here. Throw Hinojosa in there as well.
UAB has some good looking wr as well. It'd be nice to grab one. It will be interesting where their rb #7 jordan Howard ends up. He had a very good year as a true fr and has nice size.
