As much as I love the way Hinojosa plays I think last night UNI displayed the type of play we need at the nose. Hinojosa should be at DE in our scheme. UNIs guy was 6'4 311 lbs and not fat. He was a monster and dominated the entire game. That's why NDSU couldnt run the ball which put pressure on their passing game for the first time in 3 years. We need a monster like that in the middle to take it to the next level. That was the basic point of this thread, not a point and laugh at the three time defending national champs for losing a game for the first time in two years, we're not really that daft around here are we?

His last two classes were actually filled with good talent. A ton left from the 2012 class and the 2013 class lost Golladay and some others this past offseason. Before that it was mostly players that wouldnt sniff our D2 lineups from recent memory.

This kid had his shirt pulled for no reason and had barley been used in his career. When he was used he was much maligned. He's put on weight and has become a much more useful RB. The coaches are also doing a better job than the previous admin of using his skills. These last three games he has been a breath of fresh air. He's worked his ass off. He's earned it.

These guys > Hammer and Kober

UNI up 7-0 on NDSU. Anyone who wants to see what our team needs to become talent wise should watch these two teams. They're going blow for blow right now in a great game.

I think they can only bring in 30-35 total players in a year.

Our defense is going to be outstanding next year. We need to replace Tillman but everyone else other than Cummings is back. That will equal a big improvement. The offense needs to catchup and get healthy. I agree about sharp running to upright but I disagree about the burst. He needs to keep lifting and get above 200lbs and improve his vision and technique. He's a RFR after all.

We went 3-8 with the best group of WRs in the country last year and the year before with great QB play and studs all over the field we went 5-6. Those OL weren't good enough either. We need to build from within and then go from there. OC should be locked down for the next 4 years with Francis. Miller showed some promise, three more years of him. One more year with Anderson. Will Stockwell be a player? He needs to be. Steiner? We will see. We could use a stud JUCO tackle or two. We obviously need a lot of speed on the perimeter and at RB but the line is priority number one. We're closer than a lot of people may think, but still have a ways to go. The injury bubble burst on us this year and killed our momentum. Next year we need to be able to handle injuries and build the whole year instead of skidding down the stretch after showing some serious promise.

That's pretty unfair to the defense and the whole team for that matter. Sure there are gonna be guys here and there but to say the whole team is untrue. There were too many guys in green playing their ass off every play for you to say that.

The offense is just plain undermanned right now. Studsrud just doesn't have much to work with aside from being a true fr. He made some plays but also made some bad throws/decisions. The d needs to make that final play to stop teams on third and long. They were doing it earlier in the year and just haven't been getting it done consistsntly the last few games. Even if everyone was healthy I think we're still about 5 impact players away from being a legit good team that can play with anyone. We need to find those guys for next year. The number one issue remains the OL.

Get sharp more carries. Jer will be more fresh and it's good to have multiple styles of runners to keep them off balance.

Play calling anyone? I'm not worried about Rudolph, just what he has to work with

Wisconsin has been the gold standard for student section for a while now. I've never been to a game there but I've heard plenty from friends who have.

Keaton had a beautiful long throw on the fg drive. Needs to make a better throw tj Seibel in the end zone though. He had his man beat by half a step and Keaton threw to the wrong shoulder.

I didn't realize Weber was such a big school, 26,000 students is a lot for an FCS school. They probably think we're small time, advantage us. Also it will be an 11 am game for them, advantage us again.

From what I saw he's got similar touch and throws a nice tight ball. He's faster and has a stronger arm so let's hope he's got that accuracy that Danny had. Sometimes I forget how automatic he was with nearly every throw.

I'm looking forward to seeing Danny Freund 2.0 in action

Blais would have been 10-0-0, fire Hak.

Poganski needs to find his finishing touch

Pick the school package and select wisconsin.... Then tell me you login info and password do I don't have to spend 10$

UND 19 (4 fg) Weber 16

They can punish Alaska as much as they want since they don't represent any revenue to the NCAA, UNC on the other hand....

Why don't you think he's got that kind of upside other than not being a first rounder? He's got good size and seems to have an awesome feel for the game. His last goal was the best play by a UND defenseman that I've seen in years. He may not have extreme upside but I thinks he's still just scratching the surface.

You have to admit that the level of play has been raised because of everyone trying to catch NDSU.
