Schmaltz needs to stay to get a little bigger and stronger. As a result he'll become more durable, faster, stronger on the puck, and most importantly his shot will get better. His skill is NHL level but his body isn't there yet. Tbag doesn't seem like something the AHL will help him with. Too many games and not enough time to train like he needs to.

I feel like there will be at least one team crazy enough to try him at LB.

All I have to say is go to the 4 min mark and watch him blow up that ISU OL.

It was a video of him training for the pro day, not his actual pro day.

I think he'll get a look at LB and FB will be a position to fall back on. At his weight he can take anyone down and he's quick and flexible enough to cover.

It probably allows them to afford a more potent product, reducing the gram amount in possession of which is better for everyone involved.

Not really. Some people are just bad losers. It's not a reflection of character at all. I'd rather have a bunch of bad losers on my team than a group of guys that show hardly any emotion after losing big games. Also these are high school kids. Can't pretend that they're 50 year olds with tons of life experience to put perspective on situations like that.

I thought the same. SFI mentioned his hips may have been a little stiff for defense.

Same thing at hockey games. For that OT penalty shot there was a picture on the front page of the sports sections and I counted about 11 people in the frame right behind the net, best seats in the house for one of the rarest things in hockey, with their face buried in their phones ready to take a snapchat or a video instead of experiencing the real thing in real time.

Did you notice which group Baker was with? I really want him at ILB.

I expect my boy Aplin to make an impact.
