Two angles that I love about NIL: First is it allows top level athletes to make a good amount of money in college. This is a good thing because we all know some horror stories of guys who were studs in college and had a freak injury ruin their chances at the pros. That screwed over a lot of families that were looking at generational family changing wealth. The other angle is some athletes are making so much in college that they’ll stay an extra year or two instead of bolting ASAP for financial reasons. This makes the product on the field for college sports better and more entertaining for us at home.

Seems like he took a step back this year for whatever reason. Really thought he was gonna be really solid this year. Hopefully he gets his mojo back.

I like our young body types at CB. We also have bigger bodied DL that redshirted this year. I really hope they can step up next year. But OLB is Rucker and nobody else. We can’t survive with that. OLB is the position that saves the secondary. We need athletes on the edge and a lot of them.

The jimmys and joes are just as, if not more, important as the X’s and O’s. Turner would get home on 3rd and long often. We didn’t have anyone even close to that level of speed off the edge this year. Hit the portal hard. We need edge rushers. Also, how in the hell do we have 0 LB recruits right now?

With qbs especially its best to make minimal assumptions until you see them when the bullets are actually flying against a real opponent.

This is my biggest gripe with the offense under Bubba. We’ve had some really good TEs too. Cloyd could have been an All American. Totally wasted an awesome talent.

IMO Red is replaceable with current underclassmen. Plus with him getting sat for having a bad attitude he probably wants to leave and it’s best when guys who want out get out. For both parties. Hopefully he finds an offense that will actually use him.
