I’d like to see Smith slowly add a good 10lbs over the course of the year. That should help him between the tackles and allow him to keep his quickness. Might help his top end speed too.

Alex Cloyd is another example. Dude was a beefcastle and we hardly used him! Would’ve been a monster DE too. Roster management has been a gripe of mine under Bubba. There are obvious moves and they either don’t make them or wait til it’s so painfully obvious and necessary that it’s a wasted opportunity.

Of course he could. But you never know truly what a guys got until fall camp. You can usually tell really early on which recruits have the it factor.

Correct. People forget how bad our OL was that year. The tricks were out of necessity. Couldn’t count on them to get 3 yards when they needed.

Straight up everyone’s donations are needed. It’s all hands on deck to get Phase II in the ground.

Safeties. We need to figure that position out. Wether it’s recruiting or coaching it’s on the coach to fix it.

One thing I think we should keep in mind is that the coach of the safety group should be under as much if not more scrutiny than the players. It’s not good enough, and it’s been that way for a while.
