Zeb Miller went 7-10 from 40+ with a long of 54 in 2011. Went 4-5 from 40+ with a long of 50 in 2012. Since Zeb we haven’t had a kicker where of our back is against the wall we can be confident we have a chance at a long fg to win a game.

There has been a precipitous decline in kicking performance since 2014. 50 yarders are basically out of the question now.

The dropped picks and the fumbles really bothered me. The game was there for the taking. Boise isn’t that good. Tommy absolutely !@#$ the bed out there. That fumble reminded me of his pick against NDSU at home. Should’ve run for a probably 5 yard gain and instead got greedy.

Frustrating to see our wr are incapable of separation against top competition as usual.

Tommy has a very high floor and a relatively low ceiling. He’s never going to blow a teams doors off but he’ll never absolutely blow a game. In fact, the only time he cost us a game was last time NDSU visited the Alerus. Do I wish he could throw the ball farther than me? Yea. But he’s more than solid at everything else.
