Why not set her up for some pampering while you'll be at the game?? Surely there has to be some sort of a spa in Grand Forks where she can get massages, skin treatments, mud baths, manicures and the like. There, you treat the missues right, get her all pretty, which can be very good for you, and while she's doing that, you get to watch the game.

I'm still scraching my head over how you guys get Ferris to come to the Alerus two years in a row. Just goes to show how bad the AD is up there in Big Rapids.

Yeah, rumor actually has it that Wayne State in Detroit, has actually been looking into going D1-AA. I think the move might actually help them in keeping some of the Metro Detroit area talent around perhaps. If GVSU moves up to D1-AA, I'm pretty sure that's going to stick in the craw of the fans and boosters of schools like Ferris and Saggy.

I love how these activist love to take shots at an easy target instead of really tackling the *Real* issues affecting Native Americans today, like Alcoholism, povertry, obesity, diabetes, and lack of utilities on a lot of reservations. How come they don't seem so fired up about those issues but have all the time in the world to attack team nicknames. Even if UND goes back to the Flickertails or whatever, is it really going to change anything for Native Americans? I like to see how thats possiable. Besides, even if UND did change the name right now, their opponents will still likely chant things like "Sioux Suck" and other Native American referances for the next ten years.

Ummmm... how come CMU had to forfeit the games instead of Iowa? They're the ones with the problem, let them take the lost.

The thing with the two UP Michigan schools is that a lot of their alumni base is down state in the Mitten. They do tend to draw a little better than most of the conference when it comes to away visitors, at least it seemed that way to me. If they go NCC, they run the risk of alienating their most supportive alumni base because then they can't easily go catch a game anytime they want to.

UND isn't the only D2 powerhouse school out there that's under pressure from some of their supporters and fans to move up to being D1-AA. Quite a few others, like GVSU is being pressured to make the move. I thought I would just ask what would it really take to move up to D1-AA?? The hard numbers of making it work right if you will.

Looks to me that they're just under 4 hours away by bus. Either way, they would be both south of the Mason-Dixon line so I would say yep, they're travel partners all right.
