Digger does have one thing that the rest of the possible candidates have. Name Recognition. I still say he's got a good shot at getting the HH. Frankly, you could say that another Defensive player is due to win the award. Nobody else's name has really come up in the preseason for the award. And, he's playing for a team that is a very safe bet to go deep into the playoffs. He might not put points on the board, but you can always agrue that he keeps points off the board, and that's half the battle in winning a football game. Throwing him in some Offensive packages wouldn't hurt his chances any. Be an extra blocker, some trick plays built around him to give opponents fits trying to scout out in practice. Just thinking outloud here.

Good point Star2city. Winona pretty much has an autobid for the playoffs for every year in the NSIC. And the MIAA has been after UNO for a while and its not likely to stop persuing them. UNO and UND are pretty much the lynchpins to the NCC right now. If one of them goes, so does the league.

So what your saying is that my dreams about getting Ferris to leave the CCHA and baiting GVSU into getting a team is just dreams??

I don't think UND is going to be looking at moving up until NDSU has gone out and got themselves into a stable conference already. Until then, its keeping the NCC together with Baling wire and sheet metal, Keeping UNO happy so they don't jump to the MIAA and trying to get another team to join in the NCC.

Oh, I kinda hope that the CHA does sweettalk Ferris into joining them. They're an established team, would do a lot to keep the CHA afloat. And if GVSU ever gets around to putting together a team, the CHA gets an instant rivalry by adding us. They might even start contating the AD here at GVSU about that very idea.

Unless that video shows repeating swearing offenders being bodycheck thru the glass by Fabian, its not going to do much.
