I had such a blast last year in St. Paul I was seriously considering going to Tampa, especially since I have friends that live there now but I decided against it. just not sure the festivities will be quite like St. Paul was.

SCSU (or Jan Brady) deserved the win last night. Our defense was very bad and they capitalized on their chances. Patterson was hung out to dry on every goal. and going 0 for on 8 odd man rushes won't get you many wins lol. Never really noticed how loud that arena was until last nights game

i'm not sure if grimaldi can apply for a medical redshirt now, I think they're too far into the season. It would be very close at this point but if he wants to come back and figures out he cant and then gets the surgery there is no chance he gets a medical red shirt. I could be wrong, I thought it had to be in the first 1/3 games of the teams schedule, but maybe it's if the player gets injured for the year while playing in 1/3 or less of the teams games. Maybe someone can pull up the rule?

In Schlossmans story Rocco says that if he has the surgery it's season ending. The doctors told him that he could have it right now and it would be season ending but he said that he wants to try play again this year. So if it isn't better by then he will be done for the season

They could have, but I really don't think it was necessary.

Corner Bar has some really good burgers. Gets packed in there though. Probably want to get there by 5. Ground Round also gets very very packed on BSU hockey nights. If you haven't been to the arena yet, enjoy it! The seats are quite narrow but it is unbelievable how close to the ice every seat in that arena is. The top of the bowl is only a couple feet over the top of the glass. Great place to watch hockey Edit: I guess it's technically not a bowl, but it's close enough to one

I remember when i watched the Bemidji games on Midco last year I felt like a 12 year old watching cinemax. It was very blurry and every now and then you saw the puck. I dont know why it was so bad for me, but others seemed to get it just fine

I know it's tough not to talk about it when the team is struggling, but the talk of the "what ifs" from player departures gets very, very old after awhile.

Losing Lee will probably hurt SCSU. I think it will be tough for a freshmen goalie to start every game and remain consistent

I can't believe how horrid UND's PP has been thus far. More than once during the series Minnesota seemed to control the puck more shorthanded than UND did while they were on the PP. Obviously it will improve, but it really has been bad to this point.

One of my friends actually said the same thing to me today that he would like the flame logo on it

I think it would be cooler if they could find a nice way to put "North Dakota" on the front would look better. Kind of like Notre Dame's current jerseys

The cross check from behind on Rau right before Bjugstads goal on Friday should have been called. I'm surprised Rau didn't get whiplash. That would have given us a goal and another 2 minute powerplay. Like I said though, overall the calls were pretty consistent. And Lammy's penalty WAS NOT from running into the goalie, if you watch the play again when he was getting up and the camera was moving away from the play you can see at the far side of the screen that he hit Patterson with his stick in the upper chest towards the neck. FSN missed that too, they were clueless and thought it was from the collision

Don't know how many of you guys saw it but on College Gameday Saturday in Alabama there was a person waving a sioux flag. Here's a little video with it in there.

As a Gopher fan I'll say that penalties to me seemed to be called pretty good. Pretty even both sides. No plays that can be considered cheap either, and I think that's due to the tight officiating. But overall I had no problem with what was being called.

Have to agree, that's the first time in a very long time that UND was less physical than Minnesota. If Dell plays like he did this past weekend you guys will win many games though. He was amazing, especially after his very weak start to the season.

He wasn't the only one but he did it A LOT more than the others. In my opinion he's playing like he has the past couple of years. The problem is that in the past years there were more talented players around him taking away attention. Now he is the major threat so he has to adjust somewhat to how the teams will defend him. That's the first time this year that he's been zoned in on and he got visibly frustrated from it

He needs to shoot but not as much as he has. As a gopher fan I realized what we were doing to him right away friday night and got excited when Danny touched the puck because I knew he was just going to shoot it right into our defensemen. He has to be smarter. Fake a shot to get the defender down and then step over and have an open lane to shoot. But no, he just shot right into the body.
