  1. I dont believe in "running up the score" at this level and higher. Your job is to stop the other team from scoring and if you don't then so be it.
  2. Considering Tech's coaches were on camera challenging the Minnesota bench to fight (Yes the COACHES were challenging), as well as some dirty plays on the ice at the end (It all started with a blatant high stick that got the Tech player ejected for a high stick) and another Tech player got ejected on the same play, it was definitely techs fault. Add that in with some Tech players out on the ice challenging for fights and it was pretty much them. If I recall correctly they said that Tech ended the game with 13 players. Either way I didn't care who's fault it was, it was awesome and hilarious to watch! lol Running up the score? I'll assume that's sarcasm lol

One problem with this, Judys doesn't serve liquor, just beer. That's all
  4. Those little kids obviously pull in much more money than WDAZ does for Sioux hockey games :eyeroll:

Dean Blais is a better coach than Hak, but Hak is still a good coach. There's a reason Blais keeps getting chosen to coach the WJC team, and there's a reason when he coached last they won gold. Blais is probably an all time great in college coaching
  6. They'd be a good fit for the new WCHA. There's no way in hell that the NCHC would ever consider adding them
  7. all good points, although I hate Hess. Did some work with them once and it was an absolute nightmare. I can't imagine they'd ever be to good because it would be hard to recruit to Minot. I'm sure they could pick up some Canadians though. Either way, any new team in college hockey is a plus, whether they'll be bad forever or not
  8. Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go DI, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't go either
  9. Hockey in HD is amazing. I watched football on a 3D tv one time and I couldn't believe how awesome it was. It was much clearer than HD and looked amazing. I'd love to see hockey in 3D. I just hate wearing those damn glasses
  10. I've never considered them serious about it either but it seems they're making a push for it
  11. Ok, thank you. I hadn't heard it at all before so I was just wondering
  12. Theres talk of Minot State possibly making the jump? I haven't heard that one yet. As of right now the top 2 candidates seem to be Moorhead followed by Illinois. There are also rumors that if Illinois makes the jump that Indiana might have a donor step forward as well.
  13. This is a very good comment. Those guys were homers but man did they make the game more interesting and fun to watch. Same with Hennessy, he's 2nd to none with his homerism but good God he makes the game exciting. LaPanta is definitely a step down from what they had in Frank and Wooger (I'm still trying to decipher some of the words and sayings that came out of Woogers mouth), but they've put Casey Hankinson on lately and he's not too bad for just starting, just needs a little more emotion. Last weekend it seemed like Hankinson talked just as much if not more than LaPanta.

Should be a good series. The Mavs are completely unpredictable, one night they could be the worst team in the nation and the next they can compete with anyone. I'd still predict a UND sweep here
  15. This is correct, everything i've heard is that FSN will still broadcast every Gopher game not on B1G Network, and it seems like many of the nights they aren't on FSN the Wild will have a good chance of being on. I just can't see them picking up UND games. Wisconsin still has a few games shown by Fox Sports Wisconsin but the quality is no better than WDAZ. Like you said Denver is already picked up by Fox Sports Rocky Mountain (or Denver, whatever they call it now). Grand Forks is just to small of a market, the only reason some Badger hockey games get thrown on is because they already have the station in Wisconsin for the Brewers and whatever else they broadcast in Badgerland...probably cheese making.
  16. That's what I thought to but they reviewed it and the puck went off both posts, and the goalie hit it out of the net. It was outstanding
  17. Kristo's goal was sick. Anyone want to see a save that could be save of the year? Mankato's goalie from tonight vs Minnesota https://www.snappytv.com/snaps/835-anthony-lapanta-asks-how-did-that-not-hit-the-back-of-about-minnesota-v-minnesota-state-on-fox-sports-north-gopher-hockey
  18. That's the worst part, I know they have a new arena, but it's Bemidji State! I can't imagine they have more than a fraction of the viewers that UND gets
  19. Now that i'm watching this womens game, if they have the technology to have a little drop down box say "power play," why can't they put the time in there?
  20. hahahaha. As a Gopher fan this cracks me up and is completely true. All the fans hate Lapanta as play by play. Sweeney isn't very good either, but for what Grand Forks has to offer I think Sweeney is a very good person to have. I'm sure it's cheaper for them too. I still don't understand how the Ralph didn't have the technology built in for a PP clock. Minnesota had a PP clock in the mid 90's when the channel was MSC, granted the channels that broadcast them probably make a ton of money, but still.
  21. Could it possibly be a similarity to the Winnipeg jets jersey type? They have the Jet inside a circle, this one could have the circle on the front of the jersey and just have the ND in it.
  22. I think this just needs to stop. It's getting ridiculous
  23. I'm beginning to wonder now if UND can make the second half surge they're accustomed too. Obviously they'll improve, but looking at the roster this team just doesn't even compare to any of Haks past teams in talent. Even with Grimaldi in the lineup I don't think this team would be good enough for a top 4 spot in the WCHA. With a fully healthy lineup I would probably put them in the 4-7 range. They're not as good as Minnesota, or Duluth in my opinion. Anyone who has watched Duluth this year knows what I mean. We'll find out if they can compete with CC this weekend and then I'm not sure they are as good as Denver either. Only time will tell, but I just can't see the second half surge happening, at least not as much of a surge as fans are used too, i.e. - 10+ game unbeaten streaks.

    Frozen Four

I had upper level last year but wasn't disappointed because there isn't a bad seat in the X. I had club level for a Wild game last year and loved it though. The restaurants on club level have some great food. Hockey is very popular in Tampa, the Lightning are FAR more popular than the Rays are (althouh it doesn't help that Tropicana Field is in a scary area of town). I've been all around the south and i've never found a city down there that loves hockey like Tampa does. The only question I have is will the locals be willing to pay the money for college hockey?
