The disappointed face in my previous post was made at the "hot goalie" excuse. You can go ahead and un-bunch your panties now.

Even if Hak was to put up losing seasons the next couple years, he's not going anywhere before 2017 unless he chooses to. His salary would result in a much bigger buyout than the measly $175K that it took to fire Mussman. UND is well-off financially, but the $300,000+ per remaining year of his contract that would need to be paid will ensure that he is not let go before his contract expires. I have plenty of problems with Hak and I believe his system and stubbornness have resulted in multiple playoff losses, however, I can also see that he has put a quality product on the ice every year. Complaining about Hak is fine, but calling for him to be fired seems a bit extreme when you look at the facts. Worst season = 24-15-4. Frozen 4 in 5/9 seasons. Won the Final Five 4/9 years.

Didn't know that, but it'd make sense.

He was the DC for some very good UNI teams too. The fact that he's only been in Florida for 1 year makes me think he wants to get back to the Midwest.
-
I'm actually surprised that people of his and Dewitt's caliber have already applied. I figured it'd all be garbage until December.

I think some of those were their "most recent job" which would indicate they don't have a job right now. It's pretty common for people on unemployment to essentially spam government job openings that they know they won't get in order to meet the requirements to keep getting paid unemployment. I can't even find the high school coach when I do a google search so that might even just be a fake.

Looks like he could maybe be a punt/kick return guy. Don't see much other than that. Maybe he'll be the 155 pound replacement for our graduating 165 pound running back.

I'd say McFeeley is a dumbsh*t with an incredibly short memory......

Football doesn't have hot goalies though.....

Jovan Dewitt and Jamie Marshall both look decent. It doesn't look like Dewitt has had the greatest time at FAU, but it appears he did well at UNI. He's originally from Wisconsin, played at Northern Michigan, and was a DC at Northern Iowa. Seems like he'd be able to hit our recruiting areas fairly well or at least know people who can. Huh, he also played a year for the Fargo Freeze of the Arena Football League.

He's bounced around a lot.

I think I could get behind Thunder Horses though.....

I was attempting to reference Ron His Horse is Thunder, AKA thorn in Sioux nickname's side.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/minnesota-uses-dramatic-gopher-video-distract-kickers-173821502--ncaaf.html This is actually pretty hilarious. Gophers are attempting to distract opposing kickers at TCF......

Kristo was incapable of passing the puck. In his first 2 years, on the rare occasion that he tried to pass, the pass was awful. IMO, that was the area of his game that saw the most improvement over his 4 years at UND.

How about the His Horse Is Thunders

He does this a lot. Unfortunately, the other guys are never ready for the puck when it comes to them.

http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=209324502 Congrats to Greg Hardin on 1st Team All Big Sky selection. Will miss him next year.

http://azdailysun.co...1a4bcf887a.html Northern Arizona PG has left the team. Looks like he was a pretty good player but may have some personality issues. Wonder if we'd have some interest...... Edit: Looks like he's transferring to Grand Canyon University. A for-profit school in the WAC.

I just assumed that, if true, his intent to transfer was directly related to Muss's firing. I suppose there could be other reasons though.
-
It's only been 2 years and we weren't real talented that year either. Had a very emotional captain in Lamoureux who willed the team to win gritty games.

I sold my remaining frozen four tickets to some elderly Duluth fans, but kept wearing my Sioux jerseys for the remainder of the weekend. Took a little flak for it, but I wasn't going to cover up.

Having reservations about a coaching change is completely understandable IMHO. I hope he at least sticks around to meet the new coach and then makes an informed decision.
