Seeing as it's incredibly unlikely Kennedy will cut the sport completely, this is looking like the best option. Cut their current budget in half and then use legitimate accounting to attribute a portion of the REA costs to WIH to cut off the Title IX complaints before they start. Cut the coaching staff budget by at least half and the recruiting budget by 75%. Focus recruiting on North Dakota, Minnesota, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

No. The Title IX fearmongers in the AD say keep WIH. REA would like to have more available dates for concerts and other events that actually bring in revenue.

There is no potential for media exposure with WIH. Nobody cares about WIH, regardless of olympians. Source? You keep saying this with nothing to back it. Assuming those programs combined cost the same as WIH, roster size of S&D and Soccer combined = more students = more money for UND.

UND (#9) is currently 13-4-2 against teams not in the PairWise top 4. Unfortunately we're 1-6-1 against those top 4 teams. Then you look at a team like Penn State (#5). They're currently 0-0-0 against teams in the top 10 and 2-3-1 against teams between 11 and 16. They're 1-0-1 against teams between 16 and 30 and 13-1-0 against teams ranked 30 or worse. Just thought this was interesting.

If the season ended today, 1 conference would get three #1 seeds. Crazy.

Jacobs actually seems to have most everything right in this article (NDSU did make cuts to operating last year, just not as much as UND). Unusual for news in ND.

The "20% chop" is a 6.9% chop at UND and a 12.2% chop at NDSU, thanks to Schafer's foresight.

But they didn't. They chose to place THE UNIVERSITY of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Fargo was given no higher ed institution for 7 more years and didn't get a University for another 70 years after that, and then only by referendum. North Dakota, as a territory and state, had one large university for 77 years.
