  1. Who else is expected to apply by Tuesday? Ira, does this in any way change your support of Bollinger?
  2. my bad... sorry
  3. will Bohl's change have an effect on UND's search? Does Faison already have the next coach picked? Are there possible applicants the will now apply for NDSU's job instead (especially if Bohl is taking pretty much his whole staff)? If Klieman was Faison's choice before, would he drop UND and move to Wyoming with Bohl or hope to get the NDSU HC spot? Very interesting to wait until the final applicant list has been leaked...
  4. and this is probably why Bohl chose to leave now.
  5. GT will likely promote from within, won't he? So why would this have an impact on UND's decision? Brooks Bollinger would not be interested in the NDSU job, would he? Do you think Pflugrad will pull his name out thinking he wants the Bison job instead? On the other hand, the sooner Faison makes his decision, the better.
  6. Took Wyoming a week to get a new head coach!
  7. This one's for CAS - no mention of Bohl in the Casper Star-Tribune newspaper story...
  8. where's gfhockey when we have real tail numbers to expose?
  9. that is good to hear. now hope that Faison gives him a level field to compete on for the UND position.
  10. Hope Pflugrad is not using an app to UND as a way to force Weber's hand. He would be a solid choice with top notch credentials. Turning UND's program around will not be easy and will need someone with Pflugrad's experience. Plus, UND will be more likely to support football on a level to win the Big Sky and a national championship. Weber is a basketball school that doesn't seem to care much about their football program. I admit I am surprised by ira's solid support for Bollinger, even though Bollinger would be a good QB coach. Mollberg would really be given the opportunity to shine in a Chip Kelly style offense. Curiosity runs deep about who Faison picks (think he knew who he was going to hire when he let Mussman go)... hope this thing with Hardee doesn't cloud his judgement.
  11. you get my vote for the best Bison comment since this whole fiasco started

  13. With all due respect, who has been able to beat NDSU the last 3 years? He did seem to do pretty well against Big Sky teams, though. My question is why did he go from being head coach at an FCS school that he took to the playoffs twice in three years to be a Defensive Coordinator at another FCS school? That said, he would be a great candidate if he applied, even though he doesn't have Faison's ideal background of NFL or CFL experience.
  14. they're kids. they don't think things through. they think they know better than anyone else. don't you remember being 19?
  15. Anyone else surprised that such an expert of FCS football does not recognize the name?
  16. a million $,$$$,$$$ a year in incentives! WOW!
  17. the website says that the Eastern Michigan administration "likes" Colorado Pueblo's John Wristen (among a couple others). Can it be inferred that he has applied there or is it that Eastern Michigan is reaching out to Wristen?
  18. 5 years under Chris Peterson at Boise State. They had a very powerful offense. If Pease applies, he should get an interview. Seems like there are some pretty attractive candidates on the list of possible candidates. According to ESPN, Christensen was paid a base of $190,000 a year at Wyoming. UND could easily top that with incentives for attendance, etc, so you would think they could attract some decent talent under the headphones.

  20. If Cotton is not promoted to head coach at Nebraska, it sure appears that he should be given the opportunity to become the head coach somewhere. UND would be a good place for him to get that opportunity.
  21. Has Faison already decided who the next coach is? Like the Brad Berry hiring, is it already a foregone conclusion? Not in the Bollinger camp, but don't think the 'bust' factor with him is any worse than where the Sioux team is at this point in time. If he applies, he should get an interview, but would also say the same about Jamie Marshall. Marshall is a successful coordinator at the FCS level (on the defensive side of the ball) with one of the top FCS teams in the country. He is familiar with the conference, and very familiar with the power teams in the conference. On top of that, he has shown that he is interested in the job. All this can be a moot point, however, if Faison already has his next coach chosen.
  22. Thanks UND92,96. Agree that it's not much of a list for finalists, but interesting to see who has applied early. On the other hand, Jamie Marshall is a very interesting possibility. Montana State has had a good defense, but the amazing thing is the 10th place FCS defenses he had at Drake.
  23. so does that mean that Pflugard is off the market, as in he will be the new Weber coach?
  24. 2 weeks to go. Anyone have insight as to who has actually applied or been invited to apply? Solid names?
  25. Cavalry is a very good choice.
