Muss really doesn't deserve a "Coach of the Year" award for beating the teams he beat(Struggling with NoCol and USF). Neither does Bohl. I'd give it to the Towson guy. They were supposed to be pretty awful this year and they did very well for themselves.

I don't know what your problem is CM. WYO is the least trollish out of the Herd fans. All he wanted to know was what about bringing Lennon back if an opportunity to get him again presented itself. Do you think fans of schools don't keep tabs on other schools? Especially ones near the school they support? I'd give Muss a year at least in the Sky. If Faison was going to fire him, after last season would have been the time to do it. Unless they completely tank the last couple of games. Then he should be gone.

Recruiting in North Dakota and Minnesota is different than recruiting in Southern Illinois, a lot more schools for them to compete with down there, probably a little different in the approach to getting kids to come. It just seems rather odd that once Kill's guys were gone...this SIU team quit winning.

NDSU won some games between 93 and 03, UND didn't even belong on the same field as NDSU for almost every game in the 80's, but...the past is the past. So....what you are saying DaveK is that UND could have run up the score yesterday but decided to instead have to have a 4th quarter rally against Sioux Falls? I don't think it is classless of NDSU to run the ball and still score in the 4th quarter, nor would it be classless if UND did it to someone. What do you want the winning team to do? Take 3 knees every 2nd half possession? I hope not. And you shouldn't give credit to Sioux Falls. This isn't the Sioux Falls team from a couple years ago that was actually a good team, this was a team who had no business leaving Grand Forks remembering nothing but how many light fixtures are on the ceiling of the Alerus.

That is a really good idea. Would only cost the school around...$25,000 for the year? And increase attendence...well worth a try.

This. It kinda comes across, whether it is true or not, as a wealthy white kid sport. I don't think that any schools in the area have it. Might be something to look into for UND (or NDSU, USD, SDSU)...I know driving by campus here in Fargo I see a lot of people playing around with it. At the very least, look into it.

Ah, if that was what was the intended meaning, then absolutely. You sir, are correct. The Gophers had won a game, and honestly, yeah they are not good. But a game against a Big Ten team at their house is going to be a big game. They'd likely be middle of the road in the two conferences mentioned. I seriously doubt any semi-intelligent fan thought St. Francis was a big game, and Missouri St. was a big game just so that we could forget about the embarassment last year. I do find it a little funny, that you guys say NDSU fans take over the threads and talk about NDSU too much, but I would have to say you guys started it this time. Closet Bison fans?

Recruiting MN and WI becomes an issue when your closest road game is 800 miles away and they don't know anything about those schools.

Tell me, when you go walking around Colorado, do you see tons of Northern Colorado geer? Do you see license plate references? The Denver market is not some Big Sky-loving area. And the Fargo market has a school that wins. UNC is now 0-8 on the year. This isn't going to get the folks in Denver jacked up for them.

Star, I don't think playing Montana and Montana St. is going to get the people of Western ND to be UND fans. I don't think it is overly important to grab a few fans from that area either. They have a long drive to Grand Forks or Fargo and road games are even further. People in North Dakota that aren't big into NDSU or UND now aren't going to spontaneously become HUGE fans, that is not how it works bro. Best thing you can do, is just try to get your teams on tv or on the radio often enough so that the fans you do have can watch/hear the team play.

I said their football program is awful year-in and year-out. I find it really funny that you seem to think that you know what the Big Sky's intentions were at the time. No one in Denver watches Big Sky athletics unless they are an alumni and you know that.
