  1. Maybe Berry should just recruit 22 D men and he would be comfortable , his offensive scheme is cycle the puck down low then kick it iut to the D fir a shot. Instead of taking everything back let’s take it to the net. If you look at our past scorers then had one thing in common, they never passed up on a shot from anywhere.(Joyce, Romaniuk, Lundbohm, Bochenski,Boesser.)

UND had better players than everyone else in 2016, no sh:t they won the NC.  Denver was a close second.

Now they don't and shocker alert - they aren't winning the NC.

Much like every college sport - championships are won on the recruiting trail and off-season.

We all know you can’t win the NC every year, but with our facilities, history oh and culture we should at least be over .500 and score some goals.

Several? ...more like tons.  Great point though.

game was super tough to watch, especially on the big sheet. Our chose. System of getting it back to the D to fire off clean perimeter shots was even shut down with greater ease.  That’s on Bubs if you ask me.  I believe I saw Hain with and good luck and Guch...other than than that all borderline worthless perimeter shots given every team must realize that’s they only setup we’re going to run.  But honestly, I fell asleep shorty after CC scored so the boys probably had a few more scoring opps (hopefully).

This is not the year.  We’ll need to turn over some upperclassman and continue to develop the newer guys.  Those calling out late draft pick underclassmen are 100% clueless on hockey and are probably more long time Sioux fans.  We have a bland as hell ozone strategy, get absolutely nothing from the upperclassman, and we’ve missed out on a couple recruiting classes. This is the product of that.

Not what’s going to pull us out of this funk other than time. The blend of high Enders and overagers has always worked for us (and teams like Denver and more recently UMD/SCSU).  I believe we’ve missed on some guys the past few years.

Who have we missed on? I think this staffs philosophy is one thing that holds this team back, no way should three D men lead the team in shots.

“Too” is actually an adverb and is totally acceptable at the end of a sentence.  However, I misread “their” as “are,” but in fact, I think that @SIOUXELEVENS actually meant to type “they’re” as in the players as opposed to “their,” which is another grammar issue in itself.  If THAT was the case, then he correctly ended the sentence fragment with “to” and not “too.”

Of course, none of this fixes the sh*tty hockey we’re watching...

Now I feel !@#!$ about my grammar and hockey team.

There is something not right about Gardner and all the penalties—he surely  realizes it’s out of control and hurting the team, and also something not right about coach’s inability  to do deal with it.

Berry is  way too nice a guy to be head coach, your not their friend, you are the head coach , please act like one. We will see if #22 is on the ice tomorrow.

We've been talking about this all year and we've also discussed four incoming freshmen that should help this on the 18-19 season thread. Hopefully we score more than 2 goals tonight.

Yes I know we have but bringing new players into a system that may stifle their talent would be counter productive to bringing a influx of talent.
