I have to agree with a fellow duck hunter. Too many stupid penalties on the Sioux. The Sioux players spent too much time running their mouth and not playing hockey. Thats Unacceptable. I believe the penalties early in the game threw the Sioux off of their game plan. The Sioux also threw two power play opportunities away by taking stupid penalties after the infraction was caught by the official. Chay's penalty was horrible, they get the power play and then two Sioux players go after the Gopher players. If I was the coach I would have sat Genoway after that one. The Sioux beat their selves on Friday night and still almost won the game.

It wasn't a matter of getting beat this weekend, it was the ill advised passes that led to goals.

You can't close your hand on the puck, its basically a delay of game penatly. I have seen it called in the NHL as well as college.

Funny you say that while we were trying to find a place to park on Friday, Chad Hartman talked about the Xcel Energy center and how anyone that says it's not a home game for the Gophers is dislusional. Chad went on to say that the X is 7 miles away from the Gophers home ice. Personally the final five is fine where its at but just a point. I also agree with Hartman that while I like the Xcel anyone that claims its not a home game for the Gophers is really dislusional. That being said UND was 2-1 in Minnesota's home ice this season. Not too bad in my opinion.

I seriously don't think the Sioux played that well and if they would have gotten some shots on goal it would have been a different game I don't think Frazee was all that sharp. I think the UND's Goaltending was really good this weekend. Redwing_77 is having a cardiac arrest as we speak. I think even the sure handed Bina and Chorney played poorly on Saturday night. I don't think UND has to live in Fear of Michigan or Minnesota they just need to shut their mouths and play hockey. Way too much smack talk on the ice last night.

Seriously, if you were in the arena this year for the final five you would see what some are talking about. The Gophers fans booed a 9 year old on that was interviewed on the big screen; the kids percieved crime was that he happened to be wearing a Sioux jersey. That has to be the pinacle of class in my book I hated the Gophers before this weekend so I think there is some merit to the Sioux fans complaining about the rear ends that chear for Minnesota. That being said we came to the game with Gopher fans and they too thought there was a lot of drunk, rude Gopher Rubes at the games this weekend. My buddy is also married to a gopher fan. If I was a Minnesota fan I would be concerned, the Sioux players dogged it all game and almost won the game in the final seconds. The Sioux gave the Gophers numerous chances by taking numerous stupid, knuckle headed, selfish retarded penalties and the Gophers failed to put them away and defensively the Sioux held them off. If the Sioux would have shut their mouths and played hockey UND could have burried them. I was disapointed in the effort given on the ice all night, I couldn't believe it was the same team that has just pounded the Huskies just hours before. I don't know why both progams known for the free flowing style of play would come out and play this type of game. The game looked like a replay of the MTU and Wisconsin game, yuck. I'd would have rather watched the Wild play last night.

The majority of Gopher fans are ok in my opinion but there were a lot of in your face beligerant fans this year, the worst by far of any year I can remember. Maybe it was St. Patty's day or what but rude doesn't go far enough to explain it. They like to corner you in the John as well. I basically had to tell some Jack @$$ to get out of my way so I could leave the bathroom and go back and watch the game.

That is so true, the crap I saw this year re-afirms this we also had three of the worst Goofer fans possibly in the world, my buddies wife almost beat the crap out of them and she is a Gopher fan. I also never want to hear a Gopher fan ever lecture a Sioux fans about being a Halos again because the claims of the Gopher fans not complaining about the officating is no true, they are the biggest whinners I have ever seen. The calls in the game were bad both ways but the Gopher fans apparently think that you can't check a gopher or give them a penalty. This one clown that sat behind us is going to have an a heart attack the man bitched about everything, the reffing the fans around him, the refs again, every period intermission he was complaining to who ever about anything. I was going to ask him why he even bothered coming to the games.

I think it is time to start pestering FSN sports they have covered the games when they have been unavailable.

If I read this it would be almost a fluke for UND not to make the tourney.
