I think the Law Enforcement in Grand Forks, ND might have a woody for the hockey team. A loud party is a lot to do about nothing. Big deal I almost got one in Bemidji for playing tecmo bowl. No drinking involved.

I think it is funny that we complain about the horrible officials that the WCHA has then Shepherd Junior and Senior get to the national scene and stink up the joint, I saw over on INCH that they were complaining about JR last weekend. Funny thing is Todd Anderson did an ok job during the playoffs this season. I like when the other league teams get to see that our officals are just as bad as we say they are. I would be willing to bet that Greg Shepherd wont see another NCAA tourney. So if Todd Anderson can do a good job during the NCAA tourney what is wrong with him when he is reffing against the Sioux? If Zelkin is one of the better officials in the league why isn't he rewarded with an NCAA appearance? I think there needs to be an investigation into the WCHA officals by the NCAA.

I don't see Kozek or Duncan being gone. I would be willing to bet. Finley, Chorney, Oshie gone.

There are some successful teams in hockey that are playing a run and gun style hockey. Pittsburg comes to mind right away. I think B.C. played the type of hockey that I would like to see come back to UND, maybe we they aren't talented enough right now but with the players coming in maybe it will change. If a team has 2-3 lines that can go like the days of Blaiser the oppostion is going to have to skate with you or get scored on. In looking at the recruits we have coming in it would appear teamed with the base the Sioux has now they should be able to get up and go.

There is an election this fall I think you're going to see the price of gas go down a bit. There will be poltical pressue to get the price of gas down. Just a hunch.

If you read the various sites around the blog sphere you would have thought UND finished behind the Goofs and Wisconsin. Apparently finishing 3rd nationally isn't considered good anymore. UND has finished 2nd, 3rd, 3rd and 3rd the last four seasons. Last time I checked that is better that most of the teams in the WCHA; except DU 2005 and Wisconsin's 2006 NCAA titles. Yeah they suck don't they? I think UND needs to get back to the style of play that got them the last two NCAA titles, RACE HORSE HOCKEY. Enough of this Neutral Zone Trap and defensive systems crap that we played through most of the second half of the season...

This is not meant as a slamb; I wonder if any of this has to do with the kids getting younger and younger in the WCHA? I am sure there are other programs that have many of the same issues, I remember B.C. and some of the other HE programs having issues with players. Heck one of the HE coaches got arrested for a DUI in the Mass. I think the fact that Grand Forks is so small makes this stuff come out in the media more because there is nothing going on and everyone know everyone.

If I am not mistaken don't have a lot of high end talent tied up for the next three years? If you look at the numbers it would appear there are going to be some players that will have to step it or they will be sitting in the stands.

You just don't spend as much time road hunting. I read a report that said that gas will go up top off around some where in the 3.50-4.00 range and then will come down. Hopefully just in time for Rooster hunting season.

It is silly to suggest that they are going to fire the coach. I believe change might be coming because we are going to have a significantly different roster next season.
