I am actually one of the fans that hates the Gopher hockey team and likes the football team. I think Brewster is going in the right direction and that he might be taken from the UofM by another College or professional team. I think the new stadium will bring in better recruits. Mpls isn't the football hot bed. I don't think anyone that is a fan of Minnesota football can expect them to win a rose bowl not realistic. If you a top recruit in the upper midwest your not going to pick Minnesota over other top football programs. Hell even Michigan is having a tough time right now.

I think the USA can win, they need to take the team from Rolston and team USA needs to become more serious about the tourney. I would like to see more of an NHL mind coach the team like Canada and start having a tryout with all of the candidates like team Canada does. It seems that USA doesn't pick enough of the guys that do the extra gritty stuff to win. We picking the 20 best pretty boys/prima donnas and we don't have any role players. BringDeanBack is right if anyone thinks they are entitled it is the Canadian fans and their media. I remember a few years back 2004 when the USA had won the WJC you would have thought Canada had suffered and utter disaster because they didn't win the WJC. I don't think USA fans feel entitled to anything. A lot of us are used to be disappointed in the WJC.

I am unimpressed with the Canadians cheering for any team playing the USA. I hope Canada loses the game tomorrow. I would rather see the Swedes win than the Canadians. Sorry but I have become bored with the Canadian fans. George Bush and Dick Cheney aren't playing for Team USA.
