Is it incorrect to want both regular season wins and national titles? Is that so bad? In fact, I would say that if you don't get enough regular season wins, you won't get the opportunity to go for a national title.

I think we're agreeing. That's the first time we've had a reference like that on the messageboard, or at least in recent memory. I thought it was great.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t want UND to win an NCAA title and NCHC regular seasons and or playoff titles. However, some have this mentality that we should/have to burn it all to the ground because UND has won one NCAA game since 2016. I have a feeling some will call for Berry’s head if UND doesn’t get to the Frozen Four this April. We actually had fans call the AD after last season and demand UND fire Berry. Obviously, those calls fell on deaf ears. It’s as if some in the UND fanbase think we’re entitled to an NCAA title. It’s hard to win a title. I also think it requires a bit of luck. It’s not like UND sucks this year. Why don’t we enjoy the season? Have some fun.

I don’t think anyone is content with losing. UND is 20-8-2; that’s not a losing record, and the season isn't over; there's still a lot of hockey to be played. However, it appears some are moving the goalposts around or are just here to troll and get a rise out of people. Winning the NCHC isn’t easy, sometimes I wonder if winning the Penrose comes with a cost. The teams that some have pointed to have also missed the NCAA playoffs, DU and UMD both have, recently. In fact, the Bulldogs are on the cusp of missing for a second year in a row. If Sandy was the coach here he would’ve been run out of town before he ever got to the point of winning an NCAA title.

I am confused reading the comments on the fan message board. I’ve determined that the UND coaching staff is average at best. Keep in mind, the head coach just surpassed the 200 win mark. He's 200-100-33 (.656) as a head coach. That’s absolutely brutal. Why hasn’t he been fired yet?

I would've taken that bet. He was on with Hennessy. Berry brought up the 2015-16 team that was swept in Denver and went on and won the NCAA title.

Think about this: we lost a player last season to the portal because he couldn't handle the pressure of playing at UND. Too much pressure.
