It would appear from reading Travis' facebook page that he has in fact passed. Sad deal, I finally got to meet him in person this year. Seemed like a pretty cool dude.

Anybody have video of the end and the kick etc.?
I've been looking for video all day, I can't find one.

@The Sicatoka I am not sure that's a fair comparison, this basketball team is a dumpster fire with no end in site, and his record something like 37-73 that's an horrendous record.

A DU player (Magnus Chrona, I think) was interviewed after the game and was asked about the experience of playing at Ball Arena. His response included, “It’s better than North Dakota.”
It seemed like a really weird thing to say.
Which is kind of funny, since he's used to playing in a quite arena except when UND is playing them there.

Tim Hennessey was out with a non-covid illness. Here's Looker and Dunn talking about last night's game.

According to Schloss, almost 18,000. We decided not to go given we live down in the Springs. Between getting our 3 year old from school, getting her to grandma’s, and then battling rush hour traffic up in Denver, we decided to just watch it on tv.
Impressive crowd last night.

Officials reviewed Hain getting hit in the head. Berry challenged the Schamltz contact to the head. Upon review did not meet the requirements for a major goal stands und charged a time out. (Love the didn’t meet the requirements for a major. The new we missed it) berry then at the risk of a delay of game penalty challenged the kicking by Miami. (Which a squirt ref shouldn’t miss).
I am fine with it, it kept Kleven from possibly getting suspended tonight.

I'm hoping they put a stop to that, quickly, tonight.
Nothing is going to change. The refs were in such a hurry to find something on Kleven they missed an obvious, egregious, dirty kick by the Miami player. My 15-year-old daughter could've reffed this game better than these two clowns. Sterns is one of the worst officials in the league, right after Timm "Quick Whistle" Walsh. I mean seriously, WTF? It was obvious.

Starman said it best last night. “Called it too tight in the first 5 minutes.” Sterns lost his whistle after a our perfectly executed power play. Then this is the second time this month a UND player gets checked into the net and no call.
That was ridiculous, that should have been a penalty on the Miami player. Starman called it finishing a check.

But the box score says he only took a cross checking major (no misco, no game dq).
I am agreeing with you. The TV announcers incorrectly thought he'd taking a game misconduct.

I believe on TV they mentioned something like 3rd major of the year, or something to that tone, carries an automatic 1 game suspension with it. Announcers seemed pretty confident that Kleven will be sitting tomorrow.
They were wrong, the third game misconduct penalty and he has a game suspension.

Miami was out to irritate and agitate.
Know. Understand. Do not comply.
Since UND has so many players, they can afford to spend a DQ or two. If I was the head coach, once the win wasn't in doubt, I'd send a fourth liner over the boards to atone for the hit on Schmaltz. The game against SCSU comes to mind.

Schmaltz got rocked. Hit was a bit late. Head went into the glass. Probably concussion.
It looking back at that hit, I was an interference penalty that went uncalled. After the game, on the radio, Berry wasn't pleased with the hit and said that he thought it was a contact to the head.

Now Schmaltz is out.

I’m not talking about a specific hit. Just the fact that he’s frequently a target of a questionable hits in general. I’ve noticed it for weeks
Yeah, good point. He does.

He is the recipient of questionable hits kind of frequently
The hit in question that might have taken him out of the game, didn't look like a penalty, it was hard, but not dirty. Starman agreed.

Caulfield with two apples tonight. That's the reason he's in the lineup. He's been playing well since going pointless the first 8 games of the season.

Costantini from Owen...two guys that needed lifts.
O-Mac has contributed nicely this season. It would be nice to see him score a goal.

DeRidder is finding it. Ride him to the bitter end. Next season... ??
There's mention that DeRidder is much better on the road than at home. I guess if you look at it, he has gotten some big wins on the road. He played well last weekend.

How minutes total did 26 play last weekend? My guess is was less than 6. Same for 18? Give them the minutes of 28 27 10 19 and I'd be shocked if they would have produced. Again......just trot out the same lines over and over.
All the aforementioned players have played better than 26 and 18. Hain, Senden, jamernik, and Caulfield had a great weekend. The coaching staff isn't going to hold them out of the line up. UND hasn't had a lot of injuries this season, so this might play into some of this. Lot of talent on the roster, but they haven't performed this season.

I just ran UND winning out 10-0 (entered no other game outcomes) and UND went PWR 10.
Go 9-1 (split DU) and it's PWR12.
I'd say in all practicality it is "autobid" or bust.

Do we know who didn't make the trip?
As for 29...and 6....and 26...and 18...if you lose two of these guys to the portal then there has been a complete mismanagement of minutes. Trotting out the same guys every night and getting the same results as the expense of lack of development from your younger players just to be a .500 team that misses the NCAA (again)? Duluth rolled 4 lines both nights with lots of Fr. UND rolled 3 with 5th year and portal guys. Weekend outcome.....split.
...and you think this season is not going well.
Why would UND lose Dylan James in the Portal? He's didn't play in three games. He's a freshman. Costantini has been invisible all year long, he had 20 points last season, he has 2 this year. Word I got on Johnson (multiple people) is that he hasn't earned the playing time to stay in the lineup. This sums up Johnson: one minute he's making a great play, the next he's coughing up the puck up that leads to a goal. Let's think about this, he's not going to play over Farmer, Frisch, Kleven, Jandric... There probably needs to be an injury for Johnson to play.
