You did read what I wrote, right?

“How does St Could State and Duluth out-compete the better funded UND year after year?

Since when Is SCSU out performing UND year after year? It’s not happening. Yes. They were better this season, but you might not have been paying attention lately.

West and McVey were knocked down first and have been replaced with residence halls with the same names - huge improvement, but the “mirrors of infinity” are no more…

I drove down University Ave the other day after dropping my kiddo off at driver's ed, and the new residence halls look pretty nice. I can't get over how many improvements UND has made on campus—definitely some upgrades.

For perspective, it's about 1/3 the annual athletics operating budget.

It'd buy two of the proposed Memorial Village II softball facility ($4.5M).

How many years for football; it would seem that wouldn’t go that far for very long: i.e. players, NIL, coaching additions. We already know hardened facilities are expensive and wouldn’t go as far as we think. I’d love to have 10 mil to spend, but sports are expensive.

Need a visionary, but it takes more than one person; need a group of special people looking out for UND football, despite hockey being the unfortunate centerpiece

Hockey is the big-time sports program at UND. don't see this changing. Some might say that UND hockey put Grand Forks on the Map. Hockey brings more notoriety to UND that football ever will. While I agree, football should be more of a priority at UND, it shouldn't come at the expense of hockey.

I gotta think that it will be a one for one switch.  ASU comes in and Miami leaves…with no $ penalty for the Red Hawks.

I've heard that the league will let them leave when they pay the fee.

IF the NCHC adds ASU, which of the following scenarios do you all think is most likely?

    1) Add one, lose zero: Simply add ASU to the existing eight members for a total of nine teams.

    2) Add two, lose zero: Add a second team along with ASU (within, say, two years), bringing the total number of teams to ten.

    3) Add one, lose one: Drop/lose a current member (likely Miami) when ASU joins keeping the total number of teams at eight.

    4) Add two, lose two: Add a second team along with ASU, lose Miami and Western Michigan, keeping the total number of teams at eight.

Western isn't planning on leaving. When a previous rumor came out, a few years back, I was told by a person from Western athletic department they have no plans on leaving the conference.

We lose Miami when they pay their exit fee.

God, who’s next, the Mankato arena Zamboni driver? I wouldn’t be surprised if Hastings swiped the bag of practice pucks along with him on his way out the door as well.

Someone turn the lights out when you leave the arena. They took the Mavericks athletic trainer, too. This is borderline unethical.
