  1. Blais did that in a playoff game at home a couple of years back. He banged a stick on the boards and got a penalty. He I like that fact that the coach shows some emotion... Ah Woog would gotten into a argument with the Fans and had a drink poured on his head. Woog would have put $500.00 in a hat. opps... PCM, I agree the Goal Tending Sucks.
  2. It your typical Don Adam Game, call a lot of Penalties against UND and let the opposition get a bunch of Penatlies to put the game away. Hennesy said that Adam let a lot of the Obstruction go.... I think Don Adam has something personal for the Blaiser and that is wrong...
  3. Taz, I am going to make a prediction, for Blais-UND. There is going to be some retribution for for the last three games at the Concrete Center, just a hunch. If I were the coach at UND when (its going to happen) we get up on SCSU, and we will leave the top power play line in and run up the score, like they have done the last couple of games. I think Craig Dahl is a joke. When your up by a lot you don't put your top power play line in. Also Dahl is not fit to carry Dean's Jock Strap... I hate losing to a $#it like SCCC. This is a set back for UND, sure the Goal Tending is brutal how can you blame the boys. Next season I would recruit a couple of Goalies out of fear. I would also send one of the young goalies packing, I am sick of their performance, they havn't played one good game all season. Want to see what a good goalie does see Jensens performance from last night. I am sick of this horrible goal tending. Josh is a bust and Brandt is a head case. I would also bring in Lane if he continues to play decent at the half way point, I can't hurt. I am sick of Josh's and Brant lack a dazial attitude. I see UND going further than SCSU this season. We may even win tonight. We are a first rate organization I have a hard time believing we can't get a good goalie. Unexceptable...
  4. Katie is a law student at UND and I believe did an internship in washington last summer. Although nice to look at I agree with a few of the other posters, maybe we can get her to move on and we can find a hockey mind to do the on ice interviews...
  5. Yes Bad Eagle you are correct. I believe also there aren't many if any Faculty members of Nakota/Lakota/Dakota (Sioux) decent at UND. I wounder why that is? I also think many of the opponets of the Fighting Sioux Symbol are of Chippewa decent. I find that Ironic. Bad Eagle you work is very enlightening and educational. I look forward to reading more of your writings in the future.
  6. Scott, They don't want to address the real problems, they are concerned about the issues that get the most attention. They are in it for themselves. Most of this has to do with these White hand wringing Liberal Professors trying to tell others how they are supposed to think. I am sorry I don't need some liberal telling me how to think. They don't want to address the real issue they just want to blow a bunch of hot air around and make a name for themselves. Also, you want to throw Johnny Hoff or Dana Williams off ask them when was the last time they went to one of North Dakotas 4 Indian Rerservation and helped out/volunteered. Never they never have once. They haven't done a thing for Natives, these are the same people they claim they are fighting for. Even more obsurd, this past week, Doren LittleBird finally acknowledged that there is a gang problem on the states reservations. I was like DUH, she just realized this. In my past job I went to Fort Totten and some of the other reservations quite often to recruit students for an education institution. Their main concerns wasn't when UND was going to change the name. But how they could get away from some of the problems that plague their daily lives. The P.C. crowd is out of touch.
  7. Monday, November 4, 2002 Providence right wing Lee Goren named Sher-Wood AHL Player of the Week SPRINGFIELD, MA ... The American Hockey League announced today that Providence Bruins right wing Lee Goren has been named the Sher-Wood AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, November 3, 2002. Goren tallied four goals and six assists for 10 points and a plus-7 rating in four games, helping the Bruins to a 3-0-0-1 record and first place in both the North Division and the Eastern Conference. On Wednesday in Binghamton, Goren scored two goals in a span of 24 seconds and added two assists to spark the Bruins' come-from-behind 6-4 victory over the Senators. He added two more goals and another assist in Friday's 7-3 win over St. John's, and after being held off the scoresheet in Springfield on Saturday, Goren finished the week with three assists in a 7-3 win over the Falcons on Sunday. In recognition of his achievement, Goren will receive a Sher-Wood leather jacket, presented to him during an on-ice ceremony prior to an upcoming game. In addition, Sher-Wood will donate five travel bags to Pawtucket Youth Hockey in Goren's name. A native of Winnipeg, the 24-year-old Goren was a third-round draft choice of the Boston Bruins in 1997. After recording just one assist in his first six games this season, Goren has notched six goals and eight assists in his last six outings, and is currently tied for fourth in the AHL with 15 points on the year. A product of the University of North Dakota, Goren led the Fighting Sioux to the 2000 NCAA championship, and was MVP of the Frozen Four tournament, which was held in Providence.
  8. I am glad they stood up against the P.C. crowd a serious victory...
  9. Sounds like Quinn made the right decision by going back to Juniors. I hope he keeps up the good work. The things I noticed about Quinn his first time around with UND was that he is a really awesome skater and has decent moves. Maybe Quinn was just to young to be playing in the WCHA his first year. I am also sure it doesn't hurt playing with Brandon and Zach.

    family affair?

My father was telling me that there are hundreds of Lundbohms that have played for Roseau High School, sounds like there is one on the team every years. I suppose it is just like the Hasbargans and Marvins in Northern Minnesota too...
  11. What about Devils Lake? Is there a channel that you can listen to the games at out here? There must be right?
  12. I think Andy Scheider is going to have a break out year. You heard it here first folks. I also like the fact that he is not afraid to go into the corners if he has to. Also, I like the fact that UND defense plays defense, and thinks offense second. Nice change from the two senior defense corp members of last year.

    Yale Fight

I heard that on the Radio too, Tim was trying to announce the game and was sparing with the people in the stand to boot. I guess I expect more from an ivy league school representative. Yesh, time for the Ivy administrators to grow up eh? I like to see the men sticking up for each other. It show character.
  14. This is awesome. WCHA Offensive Player of the Week Brandon Bochenski So., F, North Dakota Forward Brandon Bochenski, who was an offensive catalyst for the University of North Dakota in a pair of road victories over ECAC members Princeton and Yale last weekend, has been named Offensive Player of the Week for Nov. 4 by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. A 6-2, 195-pound sophomore from Blaine, Minn., Bochenski scored four goals last Friday (Nov. 1) night at Princeton
  15. Personally I like UND defenseman, they are concerned more with checking and playing defense, scoring is a secondary concern. I like UND's defense just fine. However, I noticed a few of the boys are getting a few points. I also like the fact that they are limiting the opposition to very few shots on goal. I think that is a plus... I think UND hasn't faced more than 25 shots in any of the 6 games that they have played... That is huge...
  16. That was the information that I got from reading the box scores too. I suppose we will be updated this week. I hope someone can keep us posted...
  17. Bad Eagle, I read as many of your articles posted on Front page magazine that I can and they are very inspiring to me. I hope we can see more articles written by you. One thing I have noticed is those in the pro-name change crowd have no rebuttal for your work. Its ussualy followed by a yeah but. I think it speaks volumns of your writings. Goon one of your biggest fans.
  18. Hey thats fine, I don't have a problem with that. Besides, we are in agreement on fighting sioux name...
  19. I think bad eagle's presence is needed at http://www.vastlane.org they are definately won't listen to reason on the UND name.
  20. Seems to me it would be pretty easy to play for a coach like that. You practice hard you play, if you loaf you sit... Not too difficult...
  21. That is what I like about Blais, is that he expects his players to work hard any thing less an they sit. Interesting concept to some in this day and age. I have heard some of the players say that Blais is a players coach. I remember after the 2001 NCAA loss to the dreaded Eagles, Blaiser walked up the bench after the loss and consoled his players and told them basically that they did a good job and to keep their chins up. I believe that states volumns about Blaisers character... I alway love them rubes that say Blais has suspect methods like any of them know any better and talk about how the players leave early because of him (think back to some of them Fournier, Yureko, Bufuglien sp etc). Whatever, I say hey, consider some of the alternatives Dahl he is a beaut, he couldn't win a tourney game if the other team forfeited. I think we are blessed At UND to have a coach like him... I also have a hunch about the bunch on the ice. I just hope I am home from traveling to witness what I think might happen this season...
  22. Come on Pat, you can't expect JBB to use facts or even knowledge do you? Look at half of the $#it that he and some of the other retards have written. In JBBB mine JBB only needs to be the one that yells the loudest to win. Also, add a few racial allegations in there and he is set. Listen to his words, they are the same as Mean's, Hoff's, or Pucker's words they all say the same thing, but no one is listening anymore. They sound like the Democratic party tired and out of new material Same old tired B.S. over and over again...If you through enough garbage out there something may stick over time... Just go over to http://www.vastlane.org there aren't too many people over there using facts they just spew hateful rethoric and call anyone that disagrees with them a hate monger or an idiot, etc...
  23. No Taz Pucker is smarter, but not by much, its the same tired lines. Same B.S. and they same losing arugment...

    Radio Talk Week 2

Posted on Tue, Oct. 22, 2002 Genoway to make Sioux debut After a wait of more than a year, Colby Genoway may make his debut in a UND hockey uniform in tonight's exhibition game against the University of Manitoba at Engelstad Arena. Genoway, from Morden, Man., had to sit out all last season and the first two games this season at UND under an NCAA ruling for having played in a Tier I game in Canada. He's a 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward who is a sophomore in eligibility. Tonight's game begins at 7. UND officially opens its home season this weekend in a nonconference series Friday and Saturday against Niagara University.
