I think its funny how all of these UMD fans are saying oh no Scott isn't going anywhere. I am hear to tell you that Sandlin will be the first one that UND probably calls for the job. If I was Roger I would. Wether he goes or not is another thing. I would bet UND has a 5/10 chance of landing him. Just because someones sits in a bar and talks with the coach and supposively says I am not moving back to Grand Forks doesn't mean he isn't going. In the same light when your in a high profile program you don't tell eveyone your looking, it loses favor with your current employer. You make them come to you. I would be worried if I lived in Duluth right now.

I am sure it won't take long before State of Hockey gets the hook from the web page.
-
So I wonder if they have called Scott yet?
-
I would be willing to bet that UND would throw a bucket of money at Sandie to come here.
-
Can you elaborate on this situation?
-
It kind of on par with me making a hole in one in golf, never think it would happen. Now were missing a hockey coach and I have come close but no cigar.
-
You should hear Jeff Dubay on PA and Dubay, he is giddy and happy. In his next breath he said, that the people in Duluth should be worried about losing their coach. I guess he is right this really does probably effect two towns. Although I can see why this rube might be happy that Blaiser and Zach are gone. I don't think UND misses a beat. Like Greg Schnider said today on 1440 UND has great coaches already, he said that Berry will probably make a great coach some day. Maybe Hack or Berry get the job who knows. In short I don't think UND changes, the prospects are still going to be there. Maybe we don't get as many of the SSM recruits but I bet we see more blue chip westerns Canadians again.
-
Oh hell no. Not going to happen. If I was in Duluth right now I would be worried. I would bet that Sandie is one of the leading candidates for the job. I don't even think he is that great of a coach.

Ah, not really. Its going to take more than fancy colors for me to play good. Putter has gone cold this year. However, I do try to keep color cordinated. If you can't play good at lest look good. So I can't blame the equipment or the clothing.
-
I would bet that Web Page has no credibility at all. Unless its in the press in Columbus, on http://www.NHL.com or the Blue Jackets home page which it is not I don't believe it. http://www.bluejackets.com/
-
Oh I am sure, he would be the first choice to take Deans place. That being said, I doubt. With the World Juniors coming up and he is the coach. I wouldn't put much stock into it. Just someone trolling.

Talk about a horrible combination of colors. Yikes.
-
TC you need to snoop around a bit. Its out there.
-
I wouldn't believe it until I see it on NHL.com and I just looked both at the http://www.nhl.com and the Columbus home page and there is nothing there on this.

Can you imagine the pick up games these guys could have against the other neighborhood kids. Yikes. This family is almost at the legendary status as far as their atheletic prowess goes. And wasn't there dad like a stud goalie during the 1970's?

Let me tell you I am hearing from a source close to the Gopher progam. That Vanek is a cancer in the locker room, its also come up in the media. Sioux fans we heard hennesey talking about it last winter on the coaches show or maybe in the morning but Tim has brought this up. Its been out there for a while. T.C. You need to take your marroon and gold goggles off and listen.

Your right, there are hockey players from all over the world in the WCHA, however, a major of the good ones come from up north, ie, Canada, Minnesota, Mass...

Oh my god was that two years ago already. I thought the kid was pretty good hockey player for only being an 8th grader. I have heard there are nine of them all of which are supposed to be really good athletes, I believe two of them are twins girls which are also hockey players. I can't imagine what it cost to put skates on all of them. I hope most of them end up at UND. That would really throw Wooger off on FSN. First the Pazner Division then the Lamoureux's...

Redwing _77, Do you mean Vanek leaving (passing), Because I really think he won't be around when the season starts, I think he is just positioning himself for a decent contract offer from the Sabres. I talked to someone close to the Gopher program that stated all along what we had been hearing. Vanek was a cancer in the locker room this past season.
-
JUst a question. How old are these two kids? Seems like one of them was pretty young when he played at Central, if I remeber right didn't one of them play at Central as a 8th grader?
-
Well I look at that as a character flaw, because UND is going to be the team to beat in the WCHA, next season. Minnesota will be lucky in to in the top four in the league next season, especially if Vanek goes pro.
-
People always assume that most of these students only commit to UND because of the arena, I think it is the icing on the cake. Or just one of the many reasons great recruits go to UND. UND is a power house in college hockey. I think more so than even UofM.

I like that Idea. Giving PCM full credit of course.

Irbe is at the twilight of his career and Karl is an up and coming star. I hope Irbe just retires after he fails to make the line up on a regular basis.
