The league will be a bust. Just like the USFL was. Different sport same idea. I would bet the farm on it if I owned one. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes broke by mid season.

Here is the premise that burns my ass. You get people that assume the only reason Jordon got to come to UND was because he was Zach's brother or the pipe line from Shattucks. Hog wash. Anyone that saw Jordon play this past year knows that is effort this past season speaks for himself. Jordon playing in the final games of the season, also is a big statement by Blaiser, I have more confidence in you than my upper classman goalie. Personally if I was Brandt I would be a little worried. I also predict no-one goalie is going to get all of the starts, Blaiser like to split time and go with the hot hand. Ala, off of the top of my head I can think of Andy and Karl. Brandt and Sievebida, Jordoan and Brandt. Notice all played about the same number of games.

Your so full of crap, by saying that ignorant stuff. Jordan Parise was the best goalie UND had last season Bar none. If anyone is one their way out (I am not sure anyoen gets cut) it would probably be the Senior goalie.

I wouldn't count on it. Jordan Parise is going to have something to say about that. Anyone who thinks Parise won't at least share time in net is sadly mistaken,maybe when Lammy is a Junior/Senior. Parise was one of the reasons UND went as far as they did this past season and Parise played good enough to get UND to the final game. Parise had 2 goals scored against him in three tourney games. Thats not horrible goaltending.

The WCHA doesn't need two refs calling penalties. Holly Cow some of the refs in this league spend all game calling chinchy penalties, I can't imagine one more ref with a wistle in his mouth calling every infraction on the ice. We would end up with 20-25 minors called every game.

Commie got to play more at the end of the game, he was even on the ice for the Power Play. The game got rough at the end. Wow...

Most of us that are rabbid hockey fans know that hockey is a reginal sport. I have no problem with that. Nor do I want hockey to be dumbed down so the folks in the non hockey regions get it. I like hockey the way it is and wouldn't want it to change that much or at all. I remember when Fox had that stupid glow puck it was a diaster. I emailed Fox and blasted them on their stupid puck. One problem for hockey is that it grew too fast in areas that weren't really hockey hot beds.

I think Tampa Bay is loaded with speed and talent, Calgary can with this series but Nika is going to have to be on top of his game and stop everything that comes at him. The doors (Matador and Commedor) are going to get their time on the blue line.

I think Matt Greene will be back. The Oilers don't have a lot of money to throw around whats the point if there isn't going to be a season next season anyways.

Miracle is a must see movie and I recommend it to anyone that is a fan of hockey. I will have to buy the DVD soon. I still remember watching it on TV in 1980 and it should be an inspiration to all that call themselves fans of hockey. Brooks was old school and we need more coaches in sports with his line of thinking.

Don Cherry on CBC had a red wig on tonight and I think it was in honor of Comodore but he didn't say and he wasn't asked by Ron McClain.

The other argument out there is: fighters are not going to want to wear shields (the Tie Domi and Chris Simons of the NHL). This can be sholved by taking the helment off before engaging in the fight with your opponent (ala Prpich and Peluso). There is also a NHL rule that if you start a fight and your wearing you will recieve an extra 2 minute penalty. One other point, is some of the players in the NHL consider players that wear shields less tough than guys that don't wear shields. Just two lines of thought. Don Cherry has also eluded to this fact on the coaches corner. In fact I neither agree or disagree with these lines of thinking (I am not even sure where I stand on this issue), however, I do see the liability if one is not worn.

I think he is talking about half shields. The argument has been for this for some time.
