  1. Saw a week or so ago his coach said he was suspended indefinitely for disciplinary reasons.
  2. Kunz or Judd with Jammer and Senden? Judd has been playing/scoring well recently and that started when he played with Sanden/Jammer line.
  3. Ive only been to Denver, CC and Duluth (the Decc) but would love to go to Kalamazoo, like them or not the fans there get into it and are a lively/rowdy bunch.
  4. Getting anyone back (just one) would allow a full lineup with extra skater. I’m comfortable playing the guys that are available but we need more bodies, hard to believe team is playing so well without Senden, Gaber and Sanderson.
  5. St clown PP is like it is in slow motion
  6. Predicting the final Brackets: Worcester: 1. Michigan v 16. AIC 8. U Mass V 9. Duluth Allentown: 2. Mankato v 15. U Conn 7. Western v 10. Michigan Tech. (UND will pick up points vs Western but not enough to become a #1 seed) Loveland: 3. Denver v 14. BU 5. Sioux v 11. Norte Dame Albany: 4. Gophers v 12. St Cloud 6. Quinn v 13. Ohio St. Not sure if i did this correct but had to move St. Cloud, Norte Dame and Ohio St around so that teams did not meet conference foe in the first game.
  7. Inept bunch of coaches got lucky and with a short lineup happened to pull into 1st place even after getting out coached by Sandy the wonder coach!
  8. DU has Western/CC/Omaha remaining. DU must lose one of those games and UND has to win out to catch them, or similar scenario. UND owns the tie breaker! UND needs to go 3-3 (doable) and neither Duluth or St Cloud can catch them. If UND goes 3-3 and Western goes 4-2 UND gains 2nd seed. Western has a leg up on Duluth/St Cloud since they have 3 games against each other remaining. But Western has both DU/UND. They’d like Duluth/St Cloud to split points. Duluth has one more point than St Cloud but Duluth has UND/Miami while St Cloud has Omaha/Miami remaining besides the 3 games against each other. St Cloud trails Duluth by 1 but play winnable games vs Omaha/CC besides 3 games vs Duluth. If St Cloud gets 4 to 5 points from Duluth they’d be favored for home ice. Omaha is likely safely in 6th. They are at home the rest of the way but against St Cloud/DU/UND so they will be fortunate to gain another 6 to 9 points. CC and Miami will play for 7th/8th in their series, one of them could catch Omaha but it’s unlikely because besides their own series they play DU/St CLoud/Western/Duluth. UND has a prayer at 1st seed (unlikely), but should be favored for 2nd seed. It would take some self-destruction (which we’re capable of) to be 3rd seed. 4th seed cannot happen unless either Duluth or St Cloud wins all 9 points remaining between them and we go 1-5 or less.
  9. I thought Jake was going to punch Jody when Jody brought up the possibility of the SO!
  10. We’ve seen what Mel would do!
  11. Anyone seen line charts. No Moore?
  12. All things considered, 4 respectable lines!
  13. We have the utmost respect for their team and nothing comes easy in this league but if we bring our A game, do all the little things, take one for the team we wont b denied and we’ll send a message....3-1 Ford, Gaber and Klevin
  14. Denver is a lock (almost) for first, mathematically it’s possible to finish 2nd/3rd. Western Probably has better odds at 2nd than UND only because of our injuries. With everyone healthy and back (after CC) we are even odds with Western for a 2nd or 3rd place finish, in my opinion. Duluth would be the favorite for 4th but they will be beating up on St Cloud or the other way around. Those two play each other 4 times in the remaining 8 games. I would say they will face each other 7 times in the next 5 weeks because they are likely to finish 4th and 5th. Also Duluth plays UND and Miami while St Clown plays Western and CC. My picks on March 11: Miami travels to Denver, CC to UND or Western, Omaha to Western or UND and the Clowns and Dogs play somewhere, probably Duluth. Then there is Omaha, who cares? We need to sweep them at their place but even a split with them is OK if we sweep CC and spit with Duluth and Western.
  15. Probably better if CC doesn’t know for as long as possible
  16. If there was room for 4 stars I’d include Gaber
  17. One major difference is that going in to the Cornel series Driscoll knew he was starting and Hellsten knew he was not! Both now know that a start one night does not mean a finish or a start the second. They are pushing each other for ice time now as it should be. Also, we need both of them for the HCHC tourney and beyond. I honestly feel equally comfortable with either and agree that a rotation of some sort would be best.
  18. I agree that DU is in the drivers seat. The Clowns (they still have plenty of firepower) are hurt more by the Olympics than the Dogs, and playing either team is more difficult than playing Miami, CC or Opieha. Miami (I watched part of their games last weekend waiting for the Sioux) gave DU a battle and came within a whisker of stealing game one! You failed to mention Western who has the skill and ability to sweep DU, I may be wrong but I think that series is at the ZOO. No question about it, DU should win the first seed in the NCHC.
  19. Hopefully the NCHC will get 5 teams at the show, Omaha, CC or Miami would likely need to win the NCHC tourney to advance. So much to factor in with Olympic temporary departures and Covid, but I, like most of you, like our chances better now than a week ago: The remaining schedule favors UND To maintain a top 3 spot in the league. No game is easy but we play Duluth, Western (only 2 top five) and then Omaha twice(4 games) and CC. Denver plays 3 of their remaining series against the top five (SC, Western and Duluth) and then Omaha and CC. Western also plays 3 of their remaining against top five (SC, Denver and UND) and then CC and Miami. Duluth plays 4 of their remaining series agains top five (SC twice, Denver and UND) and then Miami. St Cloud (need to make up 2 games) also play 4 of their remaining agains top five (Denver, Western, and Duluth twice) and Omaha and CC. Plus 12 games in 28 days. Omaha, CC and Miami are not mathematically out of it, but they would have to step on the gas big time to improve their bottom 3 spots.
  20. Glad Hellsten is going again tonight. With the players we have available this is our best line up, they showed it last night. Let’s get another please!
  21. Not sure why no arm went up at the time but when my wife and i saw the hit along the boards we both said “why wasn’t that called?” THen when play stopped we thought the review was for something that happened near the dislodged net. We too were thinking that they could only review a penalty call for a major. If someone has an answer to this it would be good to hear. Also not experts.
  22. Western is way different than the Clowns, The two games at Kalamazoo were well played and tight both ways by both teams. We played very respectably against western, cant say that was a bad series. I’ll say again, Cornell was an embarrassment. St Clown plays race horse and we apparently were ready for them, Berry and crew were prepared, hopefully they can come up with something tomorrow,
  23. Is Alex back tomorrow so this joker can go back to calling a chess match?
