I brought it up on the spring practice blog, but does NDSU's move to FBS knock UND's team down several levels as it did when NDSU moved to FCS? Will alot of loyal UND fans through the fcs years and Grand Forks community members chose to back NDSU now over UND?
I have been thinking alot, do alot of UND football fans who have stayed loyal through the FCS years start following NDSU now that it has moved to FBS? Does it hurt UND football and its following just as the FCS move for NDSU did?
Will any UND fans be making the short trip to the regional in Loveland? UND likely won't be there, but figured it would still be fun to go to regional games in our backyard.
Part of me would like to see UND loss in the seond or third round of the NCHC tournament. It is very hard to win a string of post season conference and national games. If they loss right before the national tournament, they would get a recharged and be at 100 percent going into the national tournament.
I have to assume UND will make a trip to regionals during the national tournament. I am a little concerned with how UND has been playing a series. It feels as though they have been strong at times and weaker at times. It is win or go home at Nationals and there are alot of close games.
I gain alot of respect for NDSU having them move to the Mountain West. I will likely cheer for them against the Mountain West. It does feel as though it makes UND football weaker as a whole though.
I am super excited he is back. He has always been one of, if not, my favorite UND football coach. He always was ready to talk UND football with anyone. He also took time to throw the ball or talk after practices with fans.
Big time Welcome Back
I keep wondering. Isn't it bad to have alot transfer out after getting a new head coach and assistant coaches? Wouldn't that kill any momentium the team built through the season.
Is it harder to support a team when players leave in the portal? What affects how you feel about the team most? A large number of players or a few main names entering?
