2700+ votes so far with UND getting great support ...and is it just me or is there an ECHO in the hockey forum?

at the risk of repeating myself in past threads...I'll say it again. The students have practically no bargaining power in this whole deal. If they got together and walked out of the next game - UND and the Ralph would just offer a 2 for 1 deal on general admission lower bowl seats and laugh all the way to the bank! Times have changed guys...sorry to say...Buning is career military and doesn't take any crap and the new Ralph management seems "keenly" aware of pissing off REAL paying customers....guess who loses? YOU DO! here's a modest proposal... Don't just agree to move to a corner and clean up the language...EMBRACE IT! This might be your last chance to hold on to your cheap seats and still see a hockey game while you're still a student at UND. It will all add up to something to build on...Come up with...dare I say...CREATIVE cheers that don't include "F*ck YOU" or "You suck SH*T"! (this is YOUR CHANCE to get the rest of the "paying" fans on your side to INCREASE your bargaining power in the future!) Then - 5 years from now when the Ralph is talking about phasing out student seats ALLTOGETHER (don't think it might not happen) - the season ticket holders will actually side with YOU and defend your presence saying we NEED the students! (talk about irony )

If only we could find a way to convince the rest of the team the FRIDAY game is REALLY "the Saturday Game"! (we'll worry about the 2nd game later...) It's really bizarre how slow UND has been on Fridays then they turn on the afterburners on Saturdays...gotta fix that!

Tim mentioned on Saturday a "no class" banner the Goof fans hung over the glass on Friday that a couple Sioux players ripped down...anyone see that? What did it say? I'm guessing it had something to do with the nickname issue...

I agree...it's strange news...this is totally speculation but perhaps he was a little unhappy he didn't get the AD job and wasn't on the same page with Buning when he moved to the Athletic office? I'm just at a loss to find possible reasons why a UND guy like Rob wants to bail out...

Does Clear Channel even have anything to do with the webcasting beyond granting a 3rd party permission to broadcast it? I'd guess UND "handles" any internet broadcasts but I'm not sure. I've listened to lots of games around the country on YahooSports and other providers that stream dozens if not hundreds of games at a time with very few problems.... Maybe the problem is UND would have to pay for it and they don't want to? So they accept a mediocre streaming service because it doesn't cost them anything - I really don't know. The sad thing about the Video Webcast is UND rushed into it when it was brand new and unproven. All the glitches turned just about everyone off and now they can't get the business to justify upgrading it to something more reliable IMO

VERY nice win...they're doing a lot with what they've got right now! Granted UNO did everything to shoot themselves in the foot but they rallied after being down at the half and won in their house and that's something to be proud of.

bottom line is Phil (also known as "LAMMY" but I think that sounds gay) is 2-5 on the season. Yeah - he's had some tough breaks in losses but c'mon!) I don't think he deserves to get 1/2 the starts anymore...he's a solid backup but just that...a backup!

what part of Christmas break didn't you get? Regardless of actual # of WCHA games played....the 3 week break over Christmas IS considered moving to the 2nd 1/2 of the season...

BUT we got UAA out of the cellar of the WCHA!! (shoving Michigan Tech's face in the dirt) At least ALASKA is a STATE! (I can't find Michigan in any Atlas I own ) FREE SALMON FOR ALL IN ANCHORAGE TONIGHT!!!!!
