Chad Hartman on the fan said today that usually with an upset bid like this one, you go away thinking the lower level team had their one and only chance to win the game and if they played ten more times, the higher level team would win them all. But in this case, he said he went away thinking if they played 10 more times, the Bison would win the majority of them. They are just the better team this year.

I think based on their near-win over a crappy Big Ten team...ndsu should receive a special NCAA exemption to be in the Rose Bowl this year...they deserve it!!! WOW! What a turnaround from a mediocre D2 team to become the fresh princes of DI! They have my vote....

Hey Joe - I have to say I had a great time in Cedar Falls, at the UNI-dome, and had the chance to meet your AD Rick Hartzell before the game and came away very impressed. He was very gracious when I talked to him and couldn't help mentioning I was very curious how UND would measure up against their team. After the game, I bumped into him again and he said "I guess you do measure up!" (with a laugh). Very class act and a nice guy! Best of luck on the rest of the season...at least you don't have to worry about the "UNSTOPPABLE" Bison* this season (* - they're not playoff eligible yet )

...talk about throwing a tootsie roll from a parade float and the overeager kid thinks he's really "WON" something! DI-A should be DIVISION I... DI-AA should be Division II... ANY scholarship teams can play in Division III... Everyone else...with few or NO scholarships (including those in "so called" di-aaa) can play for the Tootsie-Roll Championships!!! My biggest bitch about college FB is they don't call a spade a spade! (Total Schollys) - until they do that...whatever division you think you're BETTER THAN is a joke!

Let me correct your paper... Monetary damages are COMPLETELY secondary and really not an issue at all. --"voluntered" is ACTUALLY spelled VOLUNTEERED! --hopefully "lumber heads" would say "Yeah!" (a positive affirmation) instead of "yea" (which constitutes a "YES" vote in Parliamentary Procedure situations) I learned that in FFA! Man, now you're taking me back to that State Convention I attended at the Ag college...biggest reason why I decided to attend UND - I wanted an EDUCATION!!!

The lawsuit has an interesting tact considering most of us "non-lawyers" thought they'd attack the NC$$'s policy directly but the key arguement shoots directly at what amounts to an unprotected underbelly...the fact the NCAA violated their own constitution by allowing the executive committee to implement policy without the approval of 2/3 of their membership...OOOPPPS!! This will (hopefully) be the key to a temporary (at least) injunction...in other words... Never mind who they think violates "THEIR" rules - they violated their OWN rules! The devil is ALWAYS in the details...
