  1. This was not Cam's fault. He can't play defense in front of himself and he can't score goals for us. I am sick of every loss our team suffers being blamed on our goaltending. Ever since Karl Goehring graduated, our fans have always thrown whomever is starting between the pipes under the bus when we lose. If we take care of the puck better, we win this game. Heck, if we block that last shot of the 2nd period, then our last goal of the game would have been the game winner instead of the game tying goal. The entire team needs to come out and play a full 60 minutes tomorrow.
  2. Good point. We will NOT waltz through this league schedule, this isn't the Big 10 after all!
  3. Look at it like this: We played one of our worst games of the season and we still had a chance to win it in the 3rd, but Boeser hit the crossbar on a 2 on 1. We'll come back tomorrow and play a much stronger, all-around game. And I really want to shove it down Taco Boy's throat tomorrow, that guy is a snot-nosed punk.
  4. We'll have to just watch this team the rest of the season and see how things shake out. They have looked much, much better in conference play up to this point. Montana will pose a pretty stiff test on Saturday. I'll be there. Hockey tonight, Men's Basketball Saturday afternoon and Hockey Saturday night. Another sports-filled weekend in Grand Forks!
  5. The community hasn't bought in because they know quality when they see it and they know crap when they see it. And a lot of our non-hockey programs have been crap since we moved up. Now Bubba is changing that with FB and MBB seems to be playing better this year, but after years of mediocrity it will take time to get the fans back.
  6. Yeah.....you haven't had the "leadership" we have been "blessed" with for so long.
  7. This is the vision I have articulated on this forum many times, only to be told that "you don't know what you are talking about". Kudos for once again stating the obvious.
  8. This kid does not work for the WIAA, so the employee-employer example doesn't make sense here. As for the bolded portion of your comment above, the question here is who should impose consequences and how severe should they be? Should it be the parent? Sure. Should it be the bureaucrats at the WIAA? NO! The WIAA has ZERO business trying to muzzle people outside of their sphere of influence (schools, on school grounds, at school events, at WIAA sanctioned events, etc.). If we don't draw a line here, where do you draw it? If you don't draw it anywhere, then what else will the WIAA stick it's nose into? I don't want to find out, do you? And as for the cheap shot about this kid's intelligence, she holds down a 3.5 GPA while participating in extra-curricular activities, which is what all "good little boys and girls do" according to our society today. So I think character assassination is not called for here. Again, you didn't answer my question: Should the students who showed up with duct tape over their mouths be disciplined? I say no. What say you?
  9. The WIAA should not have unlimited jurisdiction over anything and everything, much less social media. Please point out the rule and/or law that says you must like what the WIAA does and must praise them for whatever they do? If the WIAA wants to put out garbage like this, then they can learn to accept the slings and arrows that come with it.
  10. I suppose they'll get penalized too? Because we must bow down to all authority figures, no matter what they do. Right, Siouxperfan7?
  11. Yeah, Pioneer Football League.
  12. If the Gophers had still been in the old WCHA last year, they would not have been in the tournament. Thank the Big 10 auto bid for that.
  13. Well, if some of your fellow Bison brethren would stop holding up "Bring on Bama" signs and continuing to belittle UND at games that don't involve UND, then we might not do stuff like this.
  14. Yeah, depth is important in football. But this year's draft must focus on offense (O-Line and WRs). Of course, if a stud defensive player happens to fall to us, we better take him (I am still ticked off about not taking Warren Sapp back in 1994).
  15. It seems like it is happening more this offseason. Or maybe that is just perception overtaking reality?
  16. You forget, anything south of Horace, north of Harwood and west of Casselton doesn't matter (sarcasm).
  17. So should ArchyAlum11 be banned for this? Cripes, give him a break, it's not that big of a deal.
  18. But once you get it off the ground, it can be profitable and a reliable revenue source. Eventually, they would beat us in hockey, but it would take some time. Personally, I would love to play FU in hockey, that would make the rivalry with Minnesota and Denver look like a love-fest by comparison.
  19. That is the thing that nags at the back of my head. But I suppose you are right; it probably won't happen every off-season.
  20. This level of attrition is not sustainable if we are going to compete regionally and nationally. What is making players hang it up after one season like this? Or is it just bad luck?
  21. No, stalking is technically a crime. I would never go that far. I have nothing personal against Schlossman; I just think there are better writers in the world of sports journalism.
  22. Yeah, Favre holds the all-time NFL INT record.
  23. Well, if they don't mind finishing 1-10 or 2-9 every year, getting blown out by 20 or 30 points multiple times every year and having bad home crowds every year, then by all means stay in FBS. Of course, the Big Sky might finally tell them to either bring FB on board or get out, so that will put them in a tough position. Sometimes, being a UND fan feels pretty good.
  24. I am not the biggest Schlossman fan in the world, but I agree with this article 100%. I also get hung up on what will happen the next couple of years too much.
