The 1999-2000 team looked like absolute garbage around Christmas time. And we all know how that season ended!

I think this team will get better as the season goes on. I do not think we can judge them until around Christmas time.

This is the kind of win that can spark a team and give them confidence. We'll see if this is the start of a winning streak or just a blip on the radar.

This is part of the problem. Bubba needs to delegate more. He's a head coach now.

That Alaska trip is always tough regardless of what kind of team we have. Thank God we don't go up there too often.

What I don't want is our guys getting the "hot goalie" thing in their heads; it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. It also can become a convenient excuse for losing games you shouldn't.

If St. Lawrence has a "hot goalie" next weekend, then I will start making comments like this. But this is a young team that will get better and better with more experience playing together.

Very possible. I have said before this team will have some ups and downs as they work on figuring out who they are as a team. So if we lose one this weekend, people should stay off the ledge and not panic. We will get better as the season goes on.

Well, if we want to win more than 1 game this year, we may have to change our philosophy on both sides of the ball. You have to plan with the personnel you have, not the personnel you wish you had.

Maybe Bubba is micromanaging too much? The head coach has to delegate things to their assistants and then keep them or replace them according to the results or lack thereof.

You confuse "bashing supporters" with pointing out problems with one of our teams and a desire to see them fixed. I was hard on Mussman because I saw where he was taking the program. I am not there with Bubba yet, but I do think he needs to make some staff changes (especially with regard to offensive coordinator and special teams). If that is just too negative for you, by all means go someplace else.

But some people on here will say that is no excuse for not winning.

I remember watching games from Anchorage in 2009. I seem to remember doing so after that as well. They had those commercials for a local restaurant in Anchorage that were pretty entertaining.

Will the UND@UAA hockey games this weekend be picked up by Midco? They have done that in the past.

Doesn't a local station up there carry those games? Midco has picked up the feed for those games in the past.

This whole freshman class is full of "really nice" players. I am excited about this group.
