  1. When you are losing the argument.....change the subject. Nice John-Boy Walton, nice.
  2. This is the mortal threat to any program. When things get to the point where apathy sets in. If fans are angry and venting, that is a good sign. If fans start to feel apathy, that is a bad sign. MBB hasn't been relevant for so long (20+ years) that apathy is starting to settle in.
  3. As soon as you stop making asinine comments, I will.
  4. I have followed this program since 1993, as a student and a season-ticket holder, and I will continue promoting this team and encouraging people to show up and support them. Just shrugging your shoulders and saying "Just the way it is" and "It is what it is" won't change the fan culture in Grand Forks and in North Dakota. Continuing to talk this team up will change it.
  5. More "non-trolling" from John-Boy Walton.

  8. Isn't this the final year of Jones' contract? I don't think Faison gave him another extension.
  9. So you are saying he is a diamond in the rough?
  10. Actually, no. The 2005-06 team was very young and just getting to the Frozen Four that year was a big accomplishment. 2007, 2008 and 2011 are the three biggest failures during the Hakstol era, IMO. I am not quite ready to give up on this year's team. But if they don't put it together soon, this will be that down year we are always talking about as being inevitable sooner or later.
  11. A lot of people believed that he did, based on the low attendance numbers announced to the media. And I think there may be something to it.
  12. This is the mentality that our MH program has adopted for years and we need our FB program to adopt it as well. Expect to win and be disappointed if you don't. That is how you build great programs.
  13. Well, I said I would replace it once we won #8 and I did just that. Not soon enough for you? And that wasn't a "selfie", that was taken by a Heraldo photographer and was on the front page of the Heraldo the next day. If being passionate about our teams is a crime, I plead guilty as charged.
  14. I think this team is like 2005-06 in how much they are struggling early on.
  15. No, I would not have. But thanks for speculating....it is what you do best after all. I imagine several of our underclassmen would have come back if we didn't finish the job in Tampa last April. But thankfully that didn't happen.
  16. Maybe they were under-counting to keep more of the gate? Terry Wanless was a master of that back in the 1990's.
  17. Let me guess, this isn't trolling either?
  18. Well, we hung #8 without Hakstol's discipline, so there's that. I think it's about losing 9 guys in one off-season and trying to replace them with freshman. I still think this team has some potential to be very good, but they need to start putting it together pretty soon. And next Saturday night is a good time and place to start.
  19. I don't think we hang #8 in April if Berry is too much of a players coach. I think this is just a very young team trying to figure out how to win at this level. I remember the 2005-06 team looking worse than this early on and look where they ended up.
  20. And I don't care how good of a road series Michigan State played, they are not a good team and they had no business getting a win and tie in our house. Some of these younger guys need to understand this isn't juniors anymore; you can't just glide through games and expect to win.
  21. I think some of the line-up changes Berry made after last night worked. But once again, we gave up one goal on a turnover with the man advantage and one goal off of a fluke bounce off of the boards. Those are what cost us the win tonight.
  22. But they seem intent on giving the game to A&T. And having a true freshman QB is not ideal for the playoffs.
  23. I have since amended my original comment to emphasize that I am not talking about people who made prior travel arrangements to go to NYC, but people who will sit at home and watch hockey instead of getting their butts to the Alerus Center to support Bubba and the boys.
